The 3rd slot of the AMS stops pulling filament, and the red LED blinks.
After I press the gray feeder cap towards to the spool on the AMS, then the AMS feeder continues. I assume that the gears in the AMS feeder don’t connect with each other unless I press the feeder by hands.
But sometimes it won’t work. When the red LED is on, I would pull the filament out for 1cm and then push it back for 1cm again, and then press the continue button. Then it works.
What’s wrong with the AMS feeder? How to fix it?
I bought it only for 3 months and printed no more than 10 spools.
I have the same problem as you with the A1 Mini AMS Lite. When I insert the filament, it is not being loaded. I also opened a ticket, but I have not received any responses and my printer is only 2 days old.
Dear Bambu Lab 3D printer user,
Thank you for reaching out to our Bambu Lab Support team.
I’m sorry for not getting back to you promptly.
Please try swapping the cables of the two motors shown in the diagram below according to the instructions in the link.
Then, insert the filament into Slot 2 and observe whether the motor in Slot 1 rotates, and insert the filament into Slot 1 and observe whether the motor in Slot 2 rotates. AMS Lite Feeder Maintenance Guide
You can determine the rotation by observing the black cylinder above.
If the motor rotates, it indicates a problem with the mainboard.
If the motor doesn’t rotate, it suggests an issue with the motor itself.
Please tell us the result, thank you for your cooperation.
We look forward to your response and will provide you with the best service!
