AMS 'forgets' filament instantly after BBS Calibration

Weird issue I’ve been having only in the last 2 months on all of my Bambu Lab printers in my small farm, which consists of X1Cs and P2S’s with AMS and AMS 2 Pros (I don’t use my AMS’s with my H2Ds so I haven’t seen it on those yet)

So I heavily use Bambu Studio’s Automatic Calibration function in the Calibration tab to calibrate 4 filaments at a time on the X1C and P2S. I use 100% Bambu Lab filaments with RFID, about every third time I run a calibration, the instant it’s done and reaches 100%, I can record the results, but the AMS display on Bambu Studio AND on the printer will randomly show one of the filaments with a ? mark. Like it forgets the filament right as it’s completed a calibration. This is such a strange phenomenon that seems to be becoming more and more frequent and is really starting to slow me down.

Anyone have any idea? I know there is already a thread about AMS forgetting filaments, but that issue involved 3rd party filaments, I’m using exclusively RFID filaments, and only Bambu Studio with the latest stock firmware and software.

I don’t think it matters which calibration you are doing but as far as I know printer cal does not do anything related to the AMS as part of calibration. You can calibrate your printer when using the spool hanger on back

I don’t doubt your problem I wonder if you are doing anything with the AMS while printer is calibrating.

I’ve certainly seen my AMS’s lose track of what is in my AMS’s (I have 4. 2 1st gen, 1 Pro and 1 HT) .

My problems always associated with loading filament or loading somebodies model and their printer configuration that is embedded in the .3mf file they uploaded to MakerWorld. A real pain.
