my ams lite is no longer noticing and advancing the filament in slot one when i insert it from the spool. it may just be that a piece of filament broke off in the gears, but it looks like i’ll need to take the whole feeder assembly apart to clear the problem. this seems a little daunting based on the pictures in the documentation!
does anyone have an easier solution than complete feeder disassembly, or perhaps a clear video of the process from start to finish?
after nearly a month of failing to load filament into slot 1, i’ve figured out that i just wasn’t pushing the filament fully in to the ams lite for just that one slot. lol! i managed it with other slots fine over the course of the month… so, finally, today, after much frustration and a little bit of anger, i pushed the filament in significantly harder and voila!
I was having significant issues last night setting my ams lite up for the first time and finally decided to quit being stubborn and try a different spool (different style/design of spool itself) and it worked like right away. Went from a elegoo plastic spool to a elegoo cardboard spool and that worked right away. Led me to believe it was more about the fit of the spool and not the mechanism itself. Still couldn’t get that original reel to work though. didn’t think to try it in a different slot either so maybe ill try that when i get home, but all in all, might have to go to using an adapter to make it work somehow? im not sure
