My AMS Lite slot 4 will not sense any filament I put into it. The light won’t turn solid, the motors won’t turn on, but electricity is there. All the other slots work perfectly and the light on the fourth slot flashes, but does not detect filament. I tried opening it up to see if I was missing the magnet, but that was still there. I double checked to make sure that all the cables were secure (although the lights were working so this already wasn’t the case). My best guess is that something is wrong with the sensor magnet, but I checked and the round end went in first and the spring after. Maybe the sensor isn’t working? I really want to avoid buying another part without first having tried everything. Any ideas?
Swap the sensor with one of the other working units and see if the issue follows the sensor.

Ok so I’ve tried what you suggested. I swapped the slot 3 sensor (that worked fine) with the slot 4 sensor. I plugged them in and the slot 3 worked and the slot 4 didn’t. Then I tried swapping the slot 3 and 4 funnels. Again the slot 3 worked fine while the slot 4 failed. At this point I don’t even know. Could it be an electronic issue? the funnel parts seem fine. I think the motor is working but I haven’t been able to test it yet. Any other suggestions? Now since it’s not the funnel, the price of replacement has gone even further up.
I checked that thread, someone does have the same issue, but not fix or explanation. Thanks anyway.
