AMS lite wont print multicolored

hey gang
Iv had my A1 for afew months now and really getting into it so i thought id get the AMS lite.

so bought, waited and it showed up yesterday. i spent about 4 hours trying to get multicolored prints.

i cant figure out the issues at all.
It connects to the printer, shows up on filament touchscreen, shows up in the slicer, all colour matchs, and synced it. i cant figure out what im doing wrong.
Iv followed all manual instructions watched youtube intall guides, and have even done a uninstall/ factory reset on printer and computer and still cant figure it out.

i just watched it do a print, it says that it has 2x filament change times but i watched it and it didnt even seem like it attempted to change just printed in 1 color.
im really lost n struggling here as iv just spent another day trying to figure it out

Does it need updating ? print profile needs to be set up for multi colour prints
go into preview tab in bambu studio and check here
image
for specific changes at specific layers
you may also need to check you have the colours set correctly (by type) here
image
where you can add or delete the number of colours ,note not all filament types will print the same object using the ams

printed on my A1 with ams lite yesterday

one other thing to add (a1 mini) if you plug it in the wrong socket the printer will see the ams, but doesnt acknowledge it and gives external spool empty error instead , i havent looked at with the a1 but worth checking

I have that problem with both ports. At both ports I get the message that my external spool is empty. If I then cancel the assignment and turn it on again from the sd card, the ams just works.

Realy strange

I turned mine of, swapped ports turned it back on, everything was fine , did you try support ?

Thanks for your response. It just worked for almost a year. I’ve had this problem for about 2 days now. Will indeed try support since there is little to be found about this problem.

There is a thread about the ports , try searching for two ams lites being added to the A series

This seems to be the same problem as Trying to use external spool instead of AMS lite

Thanx, not searched well enough.

Problem solved: Trying to use external spool instead of AMS lite
