AMS Stuck... is there any solution?

situation
All AMS throttles have spools in them.

BambuStudio was started while printing with external filament, causing slot 1 to move slightly and the filament to fall out into the AMS.
At that point, the filament in use would be in Slot1. ← I don’t know why.

When I try to print with external filament again, I cannot print because the filament type is different (error message from X1).
When I tell it to put the filament back in, it tries to put it back in Slot1 of AMS, but it gives an error message because it is out in AMS.
When X1 is restarted, it tries to return the filament in Slot 1 because it retains the AMS and filament information.
I manage to unplug the AMS connection cable and can print with external filament.

Is factory state initialization the only way to get it back to normal?

I have no choice but to reconnect to AMS while printing and for some reason the filament selection changes.

Check if there’s a small piece of filament broken inside the PTFE tube at some point. I had a similar issue last week when one of the spools inside the AMS (almost empty) was pulled out of place and snapped the filament. I pulled it out but a small bit of filament remained close to the extruder head (where the filament runout sensor is) and the AMS was stuck trying to pull the spool up constantly.

Thanks for the reply. I’m able to print on the external spool now, so it looks like I’m good to go around the extruder.
There must have been a sensor on the back of the printer, so I’ll take a look at that.

Thanks, I could see the filament breaking inside the PTFE tube inside the AMS. Removing it will fix it.

Perfect! I hope you manage to pull it out and your problem is finally solved
