AMS Thinks a Full Spool is Empty

Does it always stop at 88%, or was this a one-time occurrence?

  • Are you using Bambu Lab filament? If not, could you specify the brand and type of filament you’re using?
  • What firmware versions are currently installed on your printer, AMS, and Hub?

In the meantime, please consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Inspect the PTFE tubes: Ensure there are no blockages hindering filament movement.
  • Check the filament spool: Confirm that the spool rotates smoothly and that the filament is not tangled.
  • Test with different filament: This can help determine if the issue is filament-specific.
  • Examine the filament sensor: For guidance on inspecting and potentially replacing the filament sensor, please refer to the Bambu Lab Wiki:

You only need to remove the sensor if it requires replacement. However, exercise caution with the cables to prevent any damage during the process.
