AMS2 Pro detects filaments but is finally not feeding it

When asking for help, please provide as much information as possible about your inquiry.
Including pictures and detailed information about the printer model, print speeds, filament type and settings used will help get the appropriate solutions.
It is also recommended to include a .3mf file of the model you are trying to print. This ensures the suggestions received will be more accurate.

Hi all,

I could need some help to analyze an issue with the AMS2 Pro. I did not print for several weeks and I did not have any issues before.

Now, when I try to print, the AMS makes a motor noise. I figured out that it is the last motor right before the output. It seems that it wants to move the filament but does not get some.

Filaments are correctly detected in the slot. If I fill the slot it grabs the filament and moves it into position. White light afterwards. If I push the filament towards the output it gets retracted back into correct position.
If I fill filament through the PTFE tube down to the printer, it gets fully retracted to the correct position.

However, after all these setup steps, the rear motor starts rotating, gets nothing and gives an error. Nothing seems to be blocked.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Is it an electronical / sensor failure? Bought it < 1year ago.

Thank you!

After forcefully pushing filament once more and this time all the way until the toolhead, AMS retracted it all the way back to starting position but this time proceeded to feed it again. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
