The last “boost token” I awarded was in September 2025 to another designer. Since then, I’ve published 22 original designs, liked several designs, printed, rated, and commented on various designs from other designers, leveled up to level 13, and haven’t received any more “boost tokens.” Am I doing something wrong? Can I buy “boost tokens”? Thank you for your comments.
I got none for ages, but today. Finally. In general I get rarely one > cause not much around to waste boosts on.
I have received 10 boosts in the last month, so at least I still get them
I have not gotten any as well, and have logged about 20-40 hours of printing on my new printer since the last time I got one.
I only get them when I have been printing other models from Maker World. I spent a year just designing and uploading to maker world, and during that time, I didn’t get any. Recently, I’ve printed some things, and in the last couple months, I’ve got 6 of them…
Yep, they’ve become so rare…
I haven’t received a token for months now (but I print little to nothing from Makerworld). I’ve definitely noticed a drastic drop in the ones received on models as well over the past couple of months.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed that the boosts counter also disappeared from the UI on most listing pages.
On the one hand I’m sorry, because it was really the only incentive the platform had for creating more complex models. On the other hand, I understand that they were never really able to even minimally curb trading and other dishonest practices.
I believe that leaving a rating, and possibly adding pictures to the rating, will increase how fast and how many boost tokens you get.
Yes, that’s what I found. adding at least 2 pictures and leaving an actual comment not just stars but engaging, does increase the tokens. but biggest is printing others work, larger models over a few hours each. I think Bambu needs to see filament usage.
I download usually 2 or three models a week, and print one or two. If decent, I rate the profile, (if I can, and that is usually only if simple and I print directly from handy app) If I alter the profile, and I do 90% of the time, I can’t obviously rate a profile, but I do upload pictures when I can. I usually get a boost token about once every 2 week.s
I only get them when I review a print and add a picture. I print 95% from the app so that might make a difference.
Without exaggeration, I print 3 to 4 different models a day and I rate with pictures every single one with the minimum of two pictures up to four and I went three weeks in a row with no tokens and this last Monday I got one single token I have so many people that I would love to boost, but without these tokens, I don’t see how?
I’ve looked everywhere to see if you could purchase them but the only thing I have seen is if I download more complex prints, so I guess because my wife likes figurines and loves painting, I’m not downloading enough complex prints?
me too, I wonder I don’t have any boost token available and never get new one for long time. cannot boost the other creators
Imagine a new entrant to Bambu 3D printing - what the heck is a ‘boost’ and when should it be used?
I usually get 3 boosts every week, but I do print a lot of stuff, and leave ratings. I think the boosts rely heavily on your interaction with MakerWorld.
Thank you all for your feedback. I understand that there isn’t a common ground among users regarding the Boost Tokens. It’s essential to have this forum so we can improve it.
Maybe most people are like me and do not really know what “boost tokens” are I gave one recently as someone mentioned it. I have been printing for ten years using Cura so I knew nothing on tokens. I do not know how many I have now to give. I’ll check it out now.
This one is a complete mystery to me. I haven’t changed any habits, yet I have not received a single boost to pass out since early November. I print a lot, I am super engaged, rate just about everything and regularly provide comments and pictures. I used to earn 3 a week… I’m guessing my account is flagged or something changed. I even added my third printer in late December and it alone has over 700 hours already and 90% of that is straight from MakerWorld. My other two printers have more than 3500 and 2500 respectively. I started printing in March of last year. It’s over 270 days of print time. Approximately 65% of that is straight from MakerWorld to Bambu Studio using the creators 3mf file “print profile”. I love all 3 of my Bambu printers they work great and rarely have issues. I’m hoping for the ability to purchase boosts of some type at some point. I completely understand MakerWorld can only pass out so many every month and I appreciate that greatly since I am on the receiving end of those sometimes and they do make a difference for creators.
I believe it is based on the downloads and prints you do if you only download the files it won’t give you boosts.
But if you download them and print them they will give you boosts
If I am not wrong I believe it’s 1 boost every 5 download ? Or so.
I think the time the print takes has something to do with it also. Not just the number of prints.
Yeah it is based on print time.
The whole point is to support larger ambitious models, which is only usually one download.
Although without transparency, I don’t know.
