Pretty much. There’s lots of people that have been using affiliate links since months but whenever i do a report over them, it gets denied with the “we need more info”, even when i give them all the links and where they point at.
You receiving response from MW when you report something? I only receive one when it’s successful!
Usually i get this sometimes. Most of the time i get only confirmation IF it passes makerworld filters
that was a joke, awkwardly timed and ineffective.
also I keep realizing I didn’t click the right ‘reply’ button, this was in response to Josh-3D’s post about buying photography equipment, not anyone’s models.
yeah I get the same, where/how are we supposed to provide the additional support info? in another report?
When that happens i provide even more links, pictures, screenshots or whatever i can find.
In most cases, i never get another answer.
This only happens with the “big dog” accounts, those with 20k+ downloads. Those acounts with 2k to 5k downloads get hit by bambu lab almost all the time, atleast from my reports.
That’s why i am waiting and i’ll keep waiting until it’s done, i get banned or…i get sick of it
I had all that equipment when I planned to create a YouTube channel.
Two reasons stopped me.
-
It turns out that being a photophobic, I couldn’t get anywhere near the equipment when switched on.
-
‘Friends’ said my face shouldn’t be on anything that could scare kids, this included YouTube.
I gave it all away.
I answered with joked words.
As far as I have read, Amazon attaches great importance to the correct handling of links in the affiliate programme. It is possible to report such things to Amazon if you come across something that is against the rules. In the worst case scenario, Amazon may exclude the person from the programme. However, I do not know whether you have to participate in the affiliate programme yourself.
I’ve reported “affiliate” links in another matter and got the typical dodge reply.
Their reply…
- Currently, we allow users to display links related to 3D printing services in their profiles, excluding malicious advertisements.
Makerworld really needs to run their guidelines past a trusted adult and explain what they mean to say.
Clearly they don’t even know what they are enforcing at all. Point .7 of their official guidelines say otherwise.

I bet that if i, in my account, post affiliate links, the account wont last much or that model would be taken down.
I am really starting to get strange vibes from what the other guy said about him having “partnership” of some kind with bambu lab and i am really starting to believe that some accounts get less penalized than others. I sure would like an official answer from makerworld about this matter and if there is equality or not.
I’ve called them out numerous times when established “makers” bend the guidelines, there’s no level playing field. Nothing changes, most of the time I get the generic reply they’re working on it yada yada… The patterns of non-compliance are so obvious, the thing that really gets to me is the extent of leniency, they really need to introduce/enforce “3 strikes”.
LOL you guys should hate a lot AI One post closed and one just opened on the same topic (and same guy…), I wouldn’t be him now
The same guys, the same topic that was actually closed by the moderator. Let’s turn the tables and report this. @BambuLab
Yes, brings good traffic
lol why report? it’s a conversations stating facts
One look at… ehkm… certain… “creative people”… cover images and all I see is:
And the experience is like:

Look in the closed topic two days ago
And then you give the burger back? Or do you eat it anyway? And you have to pay that extra
Because he is the one the has “partnership” with Bambu Lab, from what he said. A civilized discussion is what makes a community but clearly some people don’t understand that.
And for the record, the other topic was closed because that same guy started going nuts. We have moved on, he didn’t, obviously.
Some people should get a job instead of being at home and getting Hartz IV.
