Bamb Lab will launch a flagship in Q1, 2025

With, by the looks of the website, one new picture every (edit: second) day until then

Darn it… not anywhere between 17-20 of March… guess I need to send you some eggs now… round dozen should get you a couple H2Ds, right? Although customs might have something to say about that…

Make it scrambled eggs (with crispy bacon on top) and it might pass under the custom’s radar… (or not)…with these trade wars ongoing, one never knows what’s gonna happen.
As for spending those "golden nuggets " on a H2D, for now, no matter how good it might turn out to be, I’d hold my horses for a bit longer… like until the end of the year longer… I’m not that convinced that I need a printer that would force me hand over 100% the control over my machine to a 3rd party which has repeatedly demonstrated its shady practices in relation with its paying customers.
At this time I’m more inclined to purchase a Core One, or a Centauri, or even a K2 (despite being produced by Creality and being much more heavier than the others)… Or maybe I might go for another XL. I’ll decide how to use your due scrambled eggs until the end of the year .

Yeah, as much as I’m interested in the hullabaloo around the H2D and peripherals, it’ll be a good six months (or one real sweet launch deal) before even consider it… give it time to prove itself and all that jazz. Then again, I am also following the WonderMaker with it’s claimed 4 head printing (or is it realy a Bambu A1? )… :male_detective:

yeah, their ZR ultra needs to be watched, especially during its Kickstarter campaign and the feedback that will most likely come from its first users…Still, I’d want to wait on that too…at least 5-6 months after launch, to see what kind of problems it poses and how fast (and well) are these solved.

We shoud get a review for the printer on march 25 and how it compares to the X1C.

It says: " On the 25th, the embargo drops, and reviewers will be allowed to discuss the machine and our testing results"

Wouldn’t trust any ā€œfreshā€ reviews, especially right after launch, as there’s no time to properly test the new machine. After a 5-6 month period testing could provide more reliable info.

Yea, you are propobly right. If it were not Bambu labs i would not even consider it.
I hope it will be less problematic as an creality printer and get what i can from the review. Better than nothing, because i doupt they would tell us to better not buy it.

I counted 17 precision cut gears in the toolhead, Many of them would require tweezers to handle, atleast one micro servo(probably 3), lots of tiny bearings and arms. etc. Its an ironman suit. Lets hope they have Tony Stark working for them, or they offer low interest loans for 95% of speculators.

Whoops, I meant "it will be cheaper than x1e. Probably $1,500 " lol

Well we can hope that the reason for the delayed launch is that these last months have been used to properly test the machine so that it could be ready to hit the ground running.

I personally know someone that has seen, if not received one to review, the printer. He didn’t tell me much but he said it was amazing and a game changer. He doesn’t pull punches so I believe him.

The question is price. Honestly I’m expecting closer to the 3k US mark if not more for the launch edition. I think by Christmas or first quarter next year they will release the ā€œsimplerā€ version similar to how they did with the x1c p1p. I can’t see this printer being cheap by any stretch of the imagination considering how large it appears to be, significantly larger then the X and P series.

Now I’ll throw in my 2 cents for what ever it’s worth. At 3k plus that really limits how many I’m tempted to buy. I almost will have to buy at least 1. But I make a living printing stuff and have desperately needed larger format printers. I have a ratrig vcore 3.1 500x500x500 but while it works and is relatively fast it’s not as simple to use as a Bambu printer. Should I have kept my old bedslingers? No I was sick of those and the issues and slow speeds. It was faster to print smaller parts on faster more reliable Bambus and post process the seams. While I can apprishiate that they didn’t want to make a upsized version of the x or p printers they left a lot of money sitting on the table. Money that went elsewhere after everyone got finished scrambling to catch up to Bambu. After the a-1 recall and delayed release of the new long awaited flagship it’s gonna have to be really really good, and the simpler version better be in reach of more average hobbies for Bambu might be doomed.

Just remember the x1e is still $2,500. They make 5 cheap printers for the masses, 1 printer for enterprise users and now 1 printer for prosumers. Although prosumers that I know would have wanted a completely different printer setup, this will still keep the more financially well off bambu crowd happy.

Imagine a 350mm p1s though…or an idex 400mm x1c with a purge bucket below each end of the x axis.. Cut half the print time off a 2 color print. Add more colors and it gets stupid efficient

Id guess, and it is still an educated guess, that once the new printer releases the x and p series reduces in price. Its also highly likely that for at least 6 months the new flagship is only available with everything, maybe a version without the new ams. Im one who will most likely buy at least one, but my wife and I had this conversation just last night and it will probably be just one until the stripped down versions become available.

the big question is will these new printers be availble in different build volumes. I really want a larger printer with all the ease of the current bambu line up. The current build volume is ok but when your doing massive things more and more not having to cut up a model is really nice.

There is going to be a laser edition and a non-laser edition, not just the one ultra combo. Later in the year they will release a laser upgrade kit for those who want it, however there isn’t evidence yet to a non-AMS combo to my knowledge

Some ā€œallegedā€ leaks claim two versions with and without laser combo.

I mean it was pulled right off the Bambu store page, and anyone could look at it while it was live, I wouldn’t call that ā€œallegedā€, personally, since it inadvertently came from BBL themselves

EDIT: On second thought, ā€œallegedā€ is fair, just because it came from them doesn’t mean it’s actually confirmed yet. I take it back

Okay… so next question.
If they sell the Laser combo and the non-laser combo on march 25… which one would be easier to get bevor sold out?

Would depend how much of each version they produced and what version is more desired…

Arg…
I fear i have to order the laser version just because the non-laser will be sold out to fast…

I’d assume the laser combo will be more easily available. The question is will we have time to watch/read reviews before purchasing it? Would suck to learn the price, watch some videos and decide to buy it, but then getting an error when you click add to cart…

Better dont watch reviews… just click buy… that will be my plan…
