Dual nozzle? Unlikely. The A series are entry level price point. Dual nozzle would cut into the H2 sales while leaving the entry level category BL owns. No one ever envisions how a bedslinger dual nozzle access for changing, filament cutting, nozzle cleaner is going to be entry level priced. This description creates a new category. One of which familiar creators will skip over to core xy printers.
With the upcoming A2L it looks like Bambu is continuing their recent tradition of introducing āfollow-upā machines that stray pretty far from the predecessor. Do bedslingers as big as this is supposed to be work well? For me at least, no thanks to vinyl cutters and pen plotters.
I have no doubt that print quality will be similar to the A1 and the A1 mini.
Although this will have to be considerably slower than both of those. There is just so much mass to be moving around.
Honestly, I am disappointed in the direction that Bambu is taking this. Despite the fact that it would have been double the price, I think I would have much prefered to see a P1P stripped down H2S style machine for about $800 to $900.
Letās put it this way: I assume the speed will have to be significantly reduced. Iāve already calculated this in another thread; Iāll post it here for you:
Just compare A1, for example build volume 16.777 cm³ (~16,7 kg) to A2L 34.320 cm³ (~34,3 kg).
Sure, no one uses 100% of the volume, unless youāre printing āthe cubeā. Nevertheless, the figures are still useful for comparison: the mass, volume, and weight have all doubled. At first glance, itās only apparent that the plate has gotten bigger, but if we look at the volume, it has doubled.
Simply put, double physical forces come into play that affect everything. From a physical standpoint, an A2L is twice an A1.
For reference, the Snapmaker 2.0 A350T (right side) almost same size as A2L
I almost ordered a P1P just to customize the panels, would have loved to seen this as well.
Z axis physical limit detector too
Now there is a small, a meduim and a large A-series printer. I think thats good.
Has it anywhere been mentioned whether the A2L uses a 1.5GT belt or whether it has a 2GT?
In principle the A2L is not really disappointing except - having only 2.4GHz WLAN and still using the A series nozzle. So it seems BBL likes to keep the old stuff for the budget gear. In fact it is ok, but I donāt see a A2 or A2 Mini stripped down from the A2L. The A2L is already a stripped down bigger A1.
Worse heat bad temperature, Nothing really new, not even an included Filament Hub or better filament changing. Will be interesting to me whether there will be a A2 Mini and A2.
CNC kitchen mentioned 1.5mm for y axis on his review
I would much appreciate a machine like this too. A stripped down H2S might even be able to bear CNC attachments since it wonāt be gunking up the interior of the machine so it would also have something new to bring to the lineup while also being the go-to for print farmers for the cheaper price and cosplayers since they usually print with lower end materials.
Also, upgrade kit?
I think that multiple things could be improved from the a1 and a1 mini
- 5GHz wifi
- better camera (1080p high fps)
- tool cutter (like the A2L)
I think that they would be worth the upgrade
