Problem: Cooling fan behavior does not match G-code or preview ā turns off too early on overhangs

Problem: After installing new Firmware, the toolhead started grinding against the frame corners. Restoring firmware to GA, resolved.
Firmware Version: 01.07.50.18 BETA AMS2 Pro Firmware to 02.00.19.47
Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
Steps to reproduce:
Other information:
During my second print after the Beta install, the toolhead went to the front left corner and started grinding, trying to continue in that directly beyond the frame. It then moved to the front right corner and tried to do the same thing. After it moved to the corner, it dropped the plate 3 inches and started feeding filament through well above the current print.
Itās actually not a bug but for now a āfeatureā⦠You cannot dry unless you remove any PLA filament from the feeder. AMS2 can only dry with the PLA filament removed from the feeder and attached to the spool. Bambu explains in the wiki that it may soften the PLA filament in the feeder which will cause clog at next print.
Thank you, that makes sense. Iāll edit my post to disregard.
Updated multiple of my P1S to firmware version 01.08.00.00 and AMS-1 version 00.01.06.62
Bambu Connect version 1.2.1-beta.5 encounters āFailed to get AMS mapping tableā error on every attempted print job to the updated printers.
File is being sliced with current version of Bambu Studio 2.0.3.54
External spools error when attempting flow calibrations from Bambu Studio, āinvalid tray_id or use_AMS flagā yet models with flow calibration selected/included do print. Also, my original AMS takes the Flow Calibration codes, but no plastic is extruded. Models with āFlow Calibrationā checked/selected do print, however. My second AMS, slightly newer than the original AMS, prints the flow calibrations without issue.
My upgrade path was:
X1 Carbon: 01.08.02.00 ā 01.09.00.00
AMS Hub 00K09A440101886: 00.00.00.43
AMS 1 00600A432321701: 00.00.06.44 ā 00.01.06.62
AMS 2 00600A291105940: 00.00.06.44 ā 00.01.06.62
Ok, I have the same problem. Bambu X1C, less than two months old. Printed some 250 hours so far. Everything going well.
Updated firmware to 1.09
Did a few prints.
Then I got this āFailed to get AMS mapping tableā error.
Tried everything.
EVERYTHING
Did I already mention that I tried everything?
The final thing I did before giving up was to downgrade from 1.09 to the latest 1.08 versionā¦
⦠and now finally the printer works again!
The weird thing is that Iām sure that I finished one or two prints in version 1.09 before this problem started.
I know, the conclusive test would be to upgrade to 1.09 again, but maybe Iād better wait until I see what support says and if more of these problems popup.
In the past, this sort of āweirdā problem has often been corrected using āRestore factory settingsā after a firmware update. Issues did not always appear immediately, but after a couple of prints. Used to be so common that I made restoral a standard part of my update procedure, before calibrating, before any weirdness could occur.
Itās been a while since I updated my X1C, the āupdatesā have not offered any changes that I need or want.
Restore factory settings was one of the things I tried. To no avail.
But good to know. Maybe this restore factory settings ritual should be done before the first problem occurs.
I usually also donāt update, but I just ordered an AMS HT so Iām going to need the new firmware.
Thanks for your reply. If Iām going to try the new firmware again, I will for sure commence a factory reset right away.
Problem: While starting the print job, Printer gets black screen and becomes unresponsible.
Firmware Version: 01.08.50.xx beta to 01.09.00.1 (currently installed)
Printer: X1C with 2xAMS
Stepps to reproduce:
other context:
Have to flip power switch off and on again. Happens randomly mostly during the preheat phase but sometimes also in stand-by. If it prints, it finishes the print correctly. Happens only with Firmware >1.08.50.xx (new UI).
Downgraded from 01.08.50 to 01.08.20 ā no issues, prints totally fine
Installed 01.09.00.01 ā Printer crashes again.
Problem: No Cold Pull possible.
Firmware Version: 01.09.00.1 (currently installed)
Printer: X1C with 1xAMS
Stepps to reproduce:
I have the exact same issue. I donāt even have an AMS and never have.
Its a shame because until now, i have been super impressed with the X1C.
Did you manage to resolve the issue, if so how?
I just received a message from Bambu support that it is indeed a bug in the new firmware. They have a āhot fixā available they say, Iām not sure what that is and whether that means that there is a new firmware version released. I have not had time to invest this further, I stay on the previous firmware until this thing is stabilized. It already took me many hours to troubleshoot, to endure beginners suggestions from support about how to load filament, until finally it turned out to be a bug in their firmware.
Problem: Errors not being cleared on latest firmware
Firmware Version: 01.09.01.00
Printer: Bambu Lab X1-Crabon
I got a filament feed error, asking me to clip the end of the filament. This cleared the issue but the fault did not clear from the touchscreen or from the Handy app. The error remained to the end of the print.
The error still remained even when I started a new print, there was no way
I could find to clear the error which no longer existed. I had to reboot the printer, this did not happen on the previous firmware
this happens every time any error occurs.
Same thing is happening with my X1C, along with a few other bugs. Worst firmware in the past year and half I have owned these machines.
Problem: No login account, only printers in LAN mode are displayed
Firmware Version: 01.07.00.00
Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
Steps to reproduce:
1. In Bambu Studio, select āSlice Plateā and then select āPrint Plateā
2. āSend Print jobā windows displays āNo login account, only printers in LAN mode are displayedā. It also displays āNot satisfied with the grouping of fillaments? Regroup and slice>ā. Printer just sits there and does not start.
3. There is no ability to resolve the issue through this error screen.
4. Printer shows it is connected to the wifi.
Other information:
PLA generic filament is loaded. No AMS.
I noticed they now have 1.09.00.01 available, so I decided to give it a try. I didnāt change any filaments, just updated the firmware.
At the first print attempt, the printer again got stuck with this AMS mapping error. So the bug has not been fixed at all.
Hey man, itās such a relief to see someone else is having this issue. Our business is completely halted because of this. Would you be able to explain how you downgrade? Iām not well versed in this area. Iād be willing to paypal you for the help thatās how desperate the situation is at this point!
