How are we able to dry filament with AMS 2 Pro and P1S?

I posted both defects as bug report, turns out the minor defect regarding not allowing me to dry PLA is a feature:

It’s actually not a bug but for now a “feature”… You cannot dry unless you remove any PLA filament from the feeder. AMS2 can only dry with the PLA filament removed from the feeder and attached to the spool. Bambu explains in the wiki that it may soften the PLA filament in the feeder which will cause clog at next print.
