I wish, haha.
They kind of do in a round about way though. The Makerworld rewards get me there, and I’m happy about that.
Plus, I got to take part in the Cyberbrick stuff, so I get my moments of basking in the sunshine.

One time use restraints combined with our over stuffed prison system
The filament manufactures are salivating.
Wait, maybe this is getting too dark.
If I have X1C with 3 AMS units can these 3 units work with the new H2D or do I need to purchase 3 with it?
The old AMS is compatible with the H2D
Is the €205 shipping (to the Netherlands) normal?? I was not expecting such a high price for shipping. Does that mean it does not ship from Germany (EU store) but directly from China?
The Dual Nozzle would be really nice. The bigger print bed for me just a nice to have. But:
X1C Combo = 1.426€
H2D Combo = 2.362€
Prices for my country. Almost 1k€ difference. Yeah. But no. No upgrade for me. Also not with the latest „security“ attempts ^^
Sad. :-/
With 145€ for shipping … i think that will drop when the H2D is in stock everywhere, but whoa. X1C Combo shipps for 16€ ^^
Yes, thank you for clarifying. I meant to say LAN-only.
This diagram is totally confusing. I’ve been in the tech industry for over 40 years and never have I seen a diagram this confusing and dare I say, misleading. It says nothing of substance and clarifies nothing as far as what a functional block diagram is supposed to do. It’s what I would expect my Marketing Communications to turn it to me for approval before a rejected it and have them correct it for clarity.
What does Fully Off-Grid mean? I don’t think Bambu understands what that means to the rest of the Cyber Security-minded field and Wireless is NOT considered fully off-grid. The term Grid means electrical Grid to a data center tech, it is not used in this context. Maybe they meant offline.
What exactly does File transfer mean in this context? Based on what they draw, there is no communications lines and one would be forgiven for assuming they mean one must use a USB drive and walk the material over to the printer(AKA SneakerNET).
And firmware Update??? Is that supposed to be a feature? If it is, it’s like saying “Oh yeah, this runs off electricity too”. Why even make that statement, it’s an assumed feature? Again, this diagram isn’t even worthy of a High School intern in that it was clearly created by someone who does not understand the technology and it clearly was not proofed before it was released. But then again, it looks pretty so I guess this is “Chabuduo” (差不多).
What I really (!) can’t understand:
Bambulab has now seen for months and years how their great users have eradicated the shortcomings of the AMS. The AMS Hydra, Python, … and whatever the great conversion kits are called. To avoid problems, to increase compatibility with many different rolls, to integrate more silica and hygrometers nicely …
These users deliver the 3D files to you virtually free of charge - and it looks like the AMS 2 Pro is very(!) similar to the AMS. Yes, the access to the tubes has been significantly improved and now the thing heats and dries. But everything else that Hydra and Python do so much better? Missing.
I really don’t get that.
If my printer is inside and I have the air filter, will I need to vent out all the fumes to the outside?
Wouldn’t you need the AMS Hub as well? I’m still a bit confused how a full AMS setup (4x AMS 2 Pro + 8x AMS HT) would look like in terms of connections.
So my plan was to hook the AMS 2 Pro that came with the combo up to the H2D, then I went back and bought 4 more to hook up to 3 X1Cs and a P1S. But now I’m thinking I should hook two of them up to the H2D to get the full effect. I couldn’t find anything that said if the hub that comes with the “H2D install kit” was different from the current hub. If the original hub works with everything I have a couple of extra ones I can use, so hopefully that’s the case
I’m not 100% sure about how those numbers work either. Two hubs, one going to each nozzle?
even more concerning I have a P1S I’m dealing with support for no bluetooth or network signal. I’m suspecting hardware failure. If I’m right ap board would need replaced but the printer serial number is baked in the board and support has to go in and juggle serial numbers between old and new before you can bind the printer. You can still sneaker prints on sd card but can’t control ams. So there is no way to run a bambu printer without giving them access to bigin with.
Wait do I have to buy one of those? I didn’t see anything about that, but maybe I’m just missing it
From what I could tell it’s just a normal hub, a normal AMS cable and a power supply. I think you only need the power supply if you’re hooking it up to one of the old printers or if you are using multiple AMS 2 Pros on an H2D. I THINK, not 100% sure.
@SupportAssistant is the high flow nozzle compatible with A1?
According to the product page it will fit but it won’t improve the flow rate. Its in the small print.
What impact tests? Any helmet I use needs to have been tested by the industry standard, Virginia tech. Any helmet that doesn’t have a decent rating by them should IMHO not be trusted. All the big brands like Giant, Specialized etc display their ratings from Virginia Tech proudly on their packaging/website.
Got a question,
I have a P1S and want an AMS 2 Pro however i am unsure what to buy as on the store there is this Ams 2 pro upgrade kit, that is the power cable and a fillement buffer and i believe a 6 pin cable. Also there is just the power cable availible for sale. I know that the power cable is for the Drying however i would like to know if I HAVE to buy the fillement buffer and the 6 pin cable
Thanks
Not sure this competes well enough for me compared to the Prusa XL for purely multi material printing. I do like the cutter and pen options but the laser is a no go for me. I would rather have a dedicated laser with proper external filtering as well as a fire suppressant system. Having had a laser fire in our building the latter is quite important.
In the laser setup, is there an interlock on the door to kill the laser should it be opened? I am sure they thought of that
The new AMS units look great. I might order the AMS2 when they are readily available.
