I put a MC fan on about 3 months ago and it worked, so im assuming its been a while now.
Feels a bit bad to have ordered the P1P and the old upgrade kit when it ends up being more expensive than the P1S. The only reason to buy the upgrade kit is if you intend on enclosing it and they knew the P1S was about to launch.
IMO, should have just included the old upgrade kit when the P1P was put on sale. Now it feels like I just got screwed over.

I hear ya, my p1p and old upgrade kit turned up 3 days ago planed on enclosing, feeling a bit of buyers remorse now
I went with a 120mm fan from the back of P1P with a 3d printed adapter to 4-inch hose to an AC Infinity Carbon filter. Has worked well for al materials so far.
DITTO! It seems they saw what was happening in the community and responded with enclosure themselves.
For some odd reason there is a special place in my heart for Bambu. I want too see them grow and dominate, its like my sports team or a tribe for me. Alot of people are upset about buying the P1P after the price drop to find out there is a enclosed version. This is right under the P1S product page in FAQs I’m sure it cant be a open/used item but still nice of them to mention it:

We offer an upgrade kit for upgrading from P1P to P1S. We recommend purchasing the upgrade kit for the upgrade. If you still want to replace the P1P with a P1S, please refer to the relevant return and refund policies on the web store accordingly.
The P1P will need to be returned for a refund, then you can place a new order for P1S.
People are upset because they feel duped by the sale. Because it wasn’t a sale, it was a price reduction as a new product was launching. Bambu presented it as something it wasn’t.
There was also the issue of selling combinations of accessories with the P1P that total more than the cost of the P1S but include less. It’s hard to believe Bambu hadn’t already priced in what the P1S should cost during the P1P sale and known that they were selling less for more.
I’m of the opinion that Bambu should offer $50 P1P → P1S upgrade kits to everyone who bought a P1P and $100+ worth of accessories during the sale.

Oh how amazing of a feature this would be!! Especially if there was a mainboard upgrade program! My wife got so used to my silent driver Creality that when I got the X1CC she was pissed at how loud it was. I tried to hide my distaste for how loud it was by saying “it’s loud because it’s moving so fast”!
@Cjs10mm but it gets even louder on silent mode lol. Im still trying to figure out what makes them so special. Maybe its just people that only owned creality before. everything but the lidar ($500 item if you do the math) has been done better on a voron. Great printers but shouldnt be creating the apple effect in peoples minds. The AMS is pretty innovative though. Ill give them that one. Well, besides the fact that they missed a huge oportunity to also make it heated/filament dryer built in. That will probably come right after most people have used their ams code.
Not everyone has the time or skill to build a Voron, nearly everyone can pull this thing out of the box and invest minimal time learning slicing to print things. It is more about making the product accessible and easy to use, not as much about having all the amazing features that Voron, RatRig, or Annex Engineering.

I like it. I built my surround with my fan to carbon filter setup I spent more. So this is nice for $150
I don’t want to create a Voron. I don’t want to build my tools to realize my projects. I want to use the tool. And I know, that there people, which have more knowhow to build the tool I need than me. Yes I know, for many people is 3D printing a hobby. For me, I have started with an Ender 3 and found that my main activities were to improve the Ender 3 instead of realizing my projects. That was not, what I want. So I decided after 2 months to buy a P1P, also if better printer exists. For that was the right decision!
