I recently came across a Bambu page on Taobao, and found that they offered 250g spools. I was skeptical that it was a company pretending to be Bambu, but when it arrived, nope. It’s actually from Bambu Lab! I heard they were moving onto cardboard spools, so this might be a new product.
UPDATE: After some checking, it actually goes INSIDE a spool so it basically acts like a cardboard refill
I think you’ve been had, sorry. Even the filament that BL sells as 250g come on plastic spools. PET-CF and PHAT-CF. The only cardboard spools BL has are PPS and PPA spools and they are .75 kg.
I checked, its the official retailer. I’ve bought other products from touzhou (bambu labs chinese company) and they sell actual filament. I dont know why they would sell all the real stuff to sell fake 250g filament. (to be fair even if its fake 12 rolls of 250g for 20 bucks is still quite the deal)
i bought the filament from the official retailer, in fact, i was recommended this filament when i was At the bambu store in shenzhen china. I don’t think they would advertise fake filament, but plus it also has RFID
(also the page comes with a spool, im gonna check that out later)
Well, interesting. I guess you could even swap different samples into the same empty plastic spool as you want to use different colors.I wonder if they will eventually make it over here.
I think you can see why I was suspicious. it seems like everything gets counterfeited.
Looks like an interesting idea for less commonly used colours. If they made a smaller AMS that directly supported the smaller spools then that would be even more interesting.
