I want to try downgrading from Bambu Studio version 2.0.1.50 to version 1.10.1.50. I am having a hard time finding the Mac DMG files. I went to Github’s page but it is not easy to navigate. Can bambu Lab just add a link to a separate web page on their site to the previous released versions. I just want to try side by side slicing my project in the different versions. Before I actually create an official bug report on their site.
ISSUE: In version 1.10.1.50 everything was dialed in very reliable almost perfect. Now with version 2.0.1.50 it is hit and miss. One print is perfect. The next print I get spits, globs of filament on the first layer. I started getting bed detection is not enabled error. Only for the middle part on my printbed due I get the spits/globs of filament other parts on the bed print the first layer perfect when this issue happens. I want to try downgrading from Bambu Studio version 2.0.1.50 to version 1.10.1.50. To eliminate any firmware issues. I am having a hard time finding the Mac DMG files. Can someone direct me to the correct file.
Thank You,
PS:I went to Github’s page bt it is not easy to navigate. Can you just add a link to a separate web page on Bambu lab site to previous released versions. I just want to try side by side slicing my project in the different versions. Before I actually create a bug report. In version 1.10.1.50 everything was dialed in very reliable. Now with version 2.0.1.50 it is hit and miss. One print is perfect. The next print I get spits globs of filament on the first layer. Even with the globs as a test I let the print go until the part with the globs came loose from the bed and it did not detect a spaghetti. In slicing with version 1.10.2.76 it detected spaghetti right away. Only for the middle part on my printbed seem to get the globs other parts on the bed are printing the first layer just fine when this issue happens. I tried slicing the printbed of parts in version 2.0.1.50 and it say the time to print is 5h23m. I then tried slicing the same parts in version 1.10.2.76 and the estimated time is 8+h. I wanted to try slicing the parts with 1.10.1.50 to test print time and reliability. Around the time I bought my X1C. So can anyone help me find the MAC .dng file for Bambu Studio version 1.10.1.50? I also downgraded back to the previous firmware to see if that would get my back to running spot on reliable again. But still no. I could take the time to try to make the current version reliable. But I love my X1c that the profiles, etc. were set up for me and I can just print. I have a Bed Slinger printer if I want to tinker around.
Thank You!!
Current 2.0 and previous Studio releases are here:
The release notes for each version are bounded by a box, and near the bottom of the box there is an arrow pointing to “Assets”. Click the arrow to see the installation packages for your system.
Public release 1.10.2 (v01.10.02.76) had some fixes for bugs in Public Release 1.10.1 (v01.10.01.50).
Sigh of release, I finally found, with the help of ChatGPT and Gemini. I found at least the file name for the Bambu Studio v1.10.01.50. Then I search on my MAC and Yah, I still had the .dmg file on my MAC. I am so relieved to be back up and running the previous version of the X1C firmware and the above version of Bambu studio. But for user that are good with editing marlin firmware for years and semi newbies that are not programers. I still say Github is confusing. After this day and a half search for this version. I Strongly suggest/hope, please with sugar on top. Bambu Lab add these previous versions on your web site. I know Bambu does not want to confuse newbie users in installing the wrong version of Bambu studio. But this search for the files elsewhere is NUTS!! Again Please, add links to the previous versions somewhere on your web site. And it only need to be previous release candidates precompiled.
Thank You
PS: i also in my research I keep getting links to the Github page, I scroll down to my version, and I can download all the uncompiled files, etc. but there is no easy link that says something like “click here to download the compiled release candidate” or something like that. I know that people that use Github on a daily basis probably think this is simple.
The files I directed you to earlier, under “Assets”, are the compiled files for installation.
I did not provide a direct link because I’d rather “teach you to fish”. Sooner or later, you will again be hungry for a different version.
I’m running MacOS 15.4 (24E248) with the latest Bambu Studio, and the login/register text and icon at the right just continuously flickers, and as I go through the wizard anything I select gets de-selected.
I’m running the newest version of Bambu Studio on Win11. When opening it, Bambu Studio only shows me blank space with no content and is not responding. Anyone else having the same problem here?
When you have a height range modifier on a model, then change the layer height setting, then slice, the software crashes. Instead, the software should check for these conflicts and either tell you to adjust the height range modifiers to match actual layer heights, or make the adjustments automatically.
X1C printer stopped responding to prompt commands sent from BambuStudio v2.0.1.50 like stop / resume print, retry to load filament etc…
Everything else works as intended. Print jobs are sent correctly and video feedback is received.
I don’t know how to make an individual thread but the newest version of bambu studio, 2.0.1.50, broke importing 3mf files and states that it was created using a previous version of Bambu Studio. Is there a better format to import multibody prints for multicolor prints??
Here is the actual text of the error code I get when trying to import an 3mf file: "The 3mf was generated by an old version of Bambu Studio, loading geometry data only.
Howdy. Any chance I can get the GitHub page for MacOS releases of Bambu Studio? I’ve run into the ‘can’t load the network add-in’ issue with 2.0.1.50 after foolishly deleting prior versions.
Cheers,
jay
Releases for all supported operating systems are at the link above. Open “Assets” at the bottom of each version’s notes and select the appropriate package.
Ah! I see. I guess Releases wasn’t thought of.
Many Thanks!
Problem: Number keypad Enter key does not work.
Studio Version: 2.0.1.50
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio
- Import any kind of model or shape
- Select the Size option
- Change the size either Scale or Size. Type with the keypad. Press the keypad Enter key. Nothing happens. Press the keyboard enter key and it works. The keypad Enter Key used to work before the 2.0 update.
I’ve reproduced on a couple Windows 10 & 11 computes. All behave the same.
Problem: Bambu Studio cannot see SD Card
Studio Version: 2.0.1.50
Platform: Win 11
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Bambu Studio
- Goto Device tab, and storage.
- message " please check if storage is inserted…"
Other information: Win 11 Pro 24H2 build 26100.3775
Sd card reads fine from the bambu handy App but Bambu studio says “Storage Abnormal”
Storage reads fine in all other devices
Problem : Number keypad Enter key does not work.
Studio Version : 2.0.1.50
Same. Tested on Windows 11 Lenovo Laptop & Windows 10 PC.
Now for whatever reason every time I open 2.0.1 it tries to download the network plugin and fails every time. Can’t log in at all.
I have 1.10.02.76 installed as well. It downloads it every time I open the app. Even after just downloading, closing, and re-opening.
MacOS Sequoia 15.4. No anti-virus. No Cisco AnyConnect. No iCloud Private Relay.
Is there a way to download the plug-in on its own?
Can someone doublecheck me?
Problem: In Vase mode, Height Modifiers are being recognized as multiple material operations causing an error.
Studio Version: 2.0.1.50
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce: Using the H2D Standard Profile
- Set to Vase Mode
- Add one or more height modifiers
- Change the outer wall speed to any value (I used 50mm/sec)
- Confirm the following error
I found it occurs with height modifiers that change wall speeds, layer heights, and line widths in vase mode as well. This is important because it kills the ability to tune filaments (no max speed volumetric tests, or VFA tests).
Problem: Inaccurate slicing when using Color painting tool
Studio Version: 1.10
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:
- Take whatever STL file (no matter if with small or large number of triangles)
- Color paint some faces of the model with whatever feature (eg. Fill)
- Slice
- Notice that jitters and artifacts appear at the interface between two different colors, even if the coloring is done correctly on the STL.
- If all painting is removed from the STL, all triangles are sliced correctly and smoothly as expected. Alternatively, if the different colors are assigned to separate parts of the model, the problem does not appear. It appears only when color painting a single-piece part.
I’ve tried tweaking a number of parameters, including “Slice gap closing radius” and “Resolution”, which seem the most relevant, by several orders of magnitude, but no difference at all.
Log file: can upload zip on request (can’t upload zips here)
Other information: Windows 10
I think I found a bug in bambu studio,
with a model on multiple plates, and with multiple filaments, if you enable the scraf seam settings for the first filament, it applies if to the others as well, even if its set to none, so if you slice, you will have the scarf seam, even when you dont want it. only way to fix it, is to disable the scarf for all filaments.
