Follow the suggestion to clean (empty) the specified directory.

If that fails, re-install Studio 1.10.

when i open a file i did for a client … it now shows a bunch of errors and it looks like it modified the whole gcode fo some reason >? now i know ive used orca slicer to slice the model… but why so much errors ??

No errors here using your .3MF in OrcaSlicer 2.3.0 for Windows. Notice that all your Studio line width parameters are displayed in mm while in Orca I see percentages of nozzle diameter. I do not think Studio can use the percentage method to set line width.

I’m not sure how best to change that, but maybe it would be easiest to just use OrcaSlicer?

Manual calculation of line widths in mm using those percentages produces very different results than the defaults, but may be what you intended.

For the past months, I’ve been having this strange issue with pointing devices that aren’t Apple ones. There is an insane amount of lag when trying to move anything within Bambu studio. I’ve tried a bunch of different mice, and right now it seems limited to non-apple mice, only within studio. Everywhere else in the OS is completely fine as I used the Logitech mouse as my daily driver. But in Studio, it’s just south of unusable.

  • Logitech G502 X Plus: Wireless via logitech USB “bolt” dongle (2.4ghz)
  • Glorious Mouse: USB-A
  • Apple Magic Trackpad: Wireless via Bluetooth.

Technically, I would assume the wired USB mouse to have the best responsiveness possible, even over Apple devices because they call connect via bluetooth. I would expect the 2.4ghx Logitech “bolt” receiver to be second fastest, with bluetooth being last. But for some reason in studio, that is completely flipped.

Here is a recording of my comparing a Logitech G502 X Plus, Apple Magic Trackpad, and a wired Glorious mouse (video has no audio to save you from air conditioner and annoying barking dog):

Mouse Lag, BambuStudio.MOV

Just in case you’re wondering, I have 3 finger drag to simulate a click and drag without having to actually click the trackpad, which is why it might look weird.

Complex problem with Gcode display in preview screen is detailed in the following forum:

Problem: External spool automatically maps to A4 AMS slot
Studio Version: 2.03
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Choose filament on external spool
  3. Slice a model
  4. Press print
  5. Filament is mapped to A4 AMS slot

With earlier versions of Bambu Studio spools were mapping correctly. Now I have to manually choose external one. Every time. Every print. Very annoying

Problem: Bambu Studio Never Validates Me
Studio Version: 1.03
Platform: Debian Linux/PopOS
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install a fresh version of Bambu
  2. Go to MakerLab
  3. Note that it loads properly
  4. Go to Online Models
  5. Note every model will 404 and state it has been deleted
  6. Log in with an existing Bambu account
  7. Go to MakerLab
  8. Page now akss you to verify you are human
  9. Note - checking the checkbox will display a loading spinner, then it will ask you to verify you are human again with no error or failure message
  10. Go to Online Models
  11. The same Verification flow can be seen
  12. User is locked out of using maker world in any way.

I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app and the issue persists.

Log file
I attempted to follow this, but the website only allows image uploads. I get this error:
Sorry, the file you are trying to upload is not authorized (authorized extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, heic, heif, webp, avif, 3mf).

Problem: Popup dialog for changing filament not appearing on a wider screen.
Studio Version: 2.0.3.54
Platform: Win11
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Drag the Bambu Studio window to my wider screen
  3. Go to Device tab
  4. Click to change AMS filament

There is now a dialog box open, but it is not visible on any of my screens. I get the windows error sound when trying to click anywhere else, and can only get back (closing the dialog box) with the Esc-keyboard button.

Tracing the same steps on my smaller screen gives me the expected result. It has worked with the wider screen before. Not sure when this might have started, but noticed yesterday after updating to the latest firmware on the AMS, printer and latest version of Studio. Before this it has been some time since I have used the program, but I have kept it up to date when prompted.

Log file: In the guide from the template it states that this is for support tickets, and I can’t seem to find a way to upload the zip-file to this reply.

What I have tried

  • Resetting AMS
  • Factory resetting the printer
  • Uninstalling BambuLab 3 times, the last time without keeping personal files
  • After 1,5 half of troubleshooting, randomly dragging the Window to my auxiliary screen and seeing it working as expected…

Other information:

  • Wider screen: Odyssey G93SC, 49", 5120 x 1440, 120Hz, 100% display size
  • Auxiliary screen: Asus SG27A, 27", 2560 x 1400, 120Hz, 150% display size
  • Bambu LAB P1S firmware: 01.08.00.00
  • AMS-1 firmware: 00.01.06.62

Problem with brims sometimes not getting sliced.
Don’t get a brim and the BRIM option is not showing up on the LINE TYPE list. (Win11 and BS 2.0.3.54) :v: :cowboy_hat_face:

Problem: Bambu Studio - All Plate Stats are not readable
Studio Version: 2.0.3.54
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Slice a model with support and tower or both
  2. Show all plate stats

Hi, I have the same Bug did you find a way to fix it

Problem: Bambu Studio does not recognise selected plate with multi-plate project.
Studio Version: 2.0.3.54
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:
Bug reported several versions ago too

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Import a model onto 2 different plates.
  3. Set Global plate to use Texture plate.
  4. Set Plate Number 2 to use Tack plate.
  5. Slice plate number 2 and try and send to printer. It will state you are using texture plate.

Problem: Bambu Studio paint by layer only painting outside and not entire layer.
Studio Version: 2.0.3.54
Platform: Win11
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Click on Object
  3. Select Paint by Layer
  4. Paint a section.
  5. Slice object and note the paint is not affecting the entire layer on ALL layers. Especially bottom layers.

I’m having an issue where I’m trying to paint by layer and have the entire layer below certain lines or above certain lines a single color. When I do this on Bambu Studio it only does the outside of the part and the center of that layer will be a different color. In ORCA slicer it would allow me to paint the entire layer. This saves a bunch on filament changes. Can we get this fixed or have an option for paint penetration on the layer setting?

Problem: Bambu Studio Never Validates Me

  9. Note - checking the checkbox will display a loading spinner, then it will ask you to verify you are human again with no error or failure message
  10. Go to Online Models
  11. The same Verification flow can be seen
  12. User is locked out of using maker world in any way.
  13. Tried it with another Internet connection

I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app and the issue persists.

I attempted to follow this, but the website only allows image uploads. I get this error:
A picture with 404 and the massage “Network error, please check and try again”

Problem : Bambu Studio user interface improvements
Studio Version : Ummmm…how do I see this? I have the latest version
Platform : Windows x86
Steps to reproduce:

  1. The slicer in ‘prepare’ and ‘preview’ section really needs a resizeable (or atleast collapsible) sidebar. For 3:2 screen ratios such as on some laptops, 40% of the width is lost to the sidebar and thats not really helpful when one wants to view the content.

  2. The Middle-button to pan feature for the ‘prepare’ and ‘preview’ sections in Bambu studio is really slow in perspective view vs orthogonal view. It needs to have a faster rate of panning for orthogonal. The rate of movement for mouse or touch 3d rotate is great, but middle-button on mouse or two finger panning is calibrated way way way too slow!

Thank you to everyone for the great work - these would just be wonderful improvements to the current setup

:lady_beetle: Bug Report: AMS Settings Icon Not Visible on 4K Display

Software: Bambu Studio
Version: 2.03.54
OS: Windows 10
Printer: P1S with AMS 2 pro
Display Resolution: 3840×2160 (4K)
Scaling: 150%

Issue:

When using Bambu Studio on a 4K display, the gear/settings icon for accessing AMS functions (such as “Enable Filament Backup”) is not visible in the AMS panel under the “Device” tab.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio with a 4K monitor.
  2. Go to the Device tab, and open the AMS panel.
  3. The gear/settings icon on the AMS interface is missing.
  4. Change screen resolution temporarily to 1920×1080 (Full HD).
  5. Now the gear/settings icon appears.
  6. Switch back to 4K → icon remains visible after that.

Expected behavior:
The AMS settings icon should always be visible regardless of screen resolution.

Workaround:
Switch temporarily to a lower resolution, open AMS panel, then return to 4K.

This is a bug report + feature request.

Studio version: 2.0.3.54

Issue 1: In the screenshot above, the green slot is PLA silk while the others are PLA basic. However, there is no way to tell from the labels.

Suggestion: Either add one more line to the label to indicate the filament subtype, or have the full filament info shown on a tooltip, so users don’t have to rely on memory.

Issue 2: A model sliced for PLA silk can be sent to the printer even if the user mistakenly choosing a PLA basic filament (due to Issue 1 above) without giving out any warning.

Suggestion: When the filament chosen is different from the filament for which the model is sliced, give user a warning before allowing it to be sent to printer.

4 hours ago I started a print and was about to start another one, but BambuStudio reported that it was not signed and refused to print. Since I couldn’t get rid of the error, I downloaded Bambu Studio again and reinstalled it.

Now I have the problem that I cannot complete the setup wizard. When selecting the filament, everything is empty. When I click on “Done” a popup appears and tells me that at least one filament has to be selected. But when I click on “Yes”, nothing else happens.

Version 2.0.3.54

Problem: Bambu Studio does not change build plate display on “Send print job” dialog when using different “Plate type” in “Plate Settings” dialog
Studio Version: 2.0.3.54
Platform: Windows
Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Bambu Studio
  2. Click settings icon next to build plate to bring up “Plate Settings” dialog
  3. Change “Plate type” to a different plate than the global setting and click “Ok”
  4. Slice plate
  5. Print plate. “Send print job” dialog will still display the global plate, but the printer will use the settings for the plate selected in “Plate Settings.”
