Bambu Studio crashes while it opens

I have a severe problem with the Bambu Studio Software. When i try to open it seems to load up properly.


Then it opens the normal software window.

After 3 seconds it closes itself without any crash massage. The current software version is 2.1.1.52, but i tried other versions like 2.00.03.54 and 2.00.01.50 . There was another thread here with a similar problem but the sulution they came up with doesnt work for me (Bambu Studio (various versions) crash on start).

System:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
AMD RX7900XTX
64GB RAM
Bambulab P1S
AMS Gen1

I had the same issue today on my MacBook Pro M1, same version.
What fixed it for me was going to View → Enter Full Screen then the window reappeared.

Looks like it might have been stuck in full-screen mode and wasn’t showing on any screen.

I have tried to change it to Fullscreeen via the Fullscreen button but it doesnt let me interact with any buttons on the interface or with the programm in generall. I also tried with F11 an Alt+Enter. From what i can see it closes completely and disapears from the TaskManager.

I dont know what i did. I played the battlefield 6 beta for the last 3 days. No updates, no reinstall of any drivers or the bambu studio software, no setting changes. But it workes again

I have no clue what’s making the app close when it’s in the splash screen.
Although you’re not the only one with issues, I can’t find a standard solution.

Based on other users’ comments:

  • multiple displays may trigger the issue → you can confirm by disconnecting the extra displays, i.e., the left one active;
  • GPU —> hardware acceleration seems to cause issues in a few cases; you can try running in compatibility or safe mode, for example.
  • On the BambuStudio, I only found some users claiming that if they uninstalled the BS network plugin, it would start.

I will advise, before doing tests, to:

  1. Clarify and identify if the issue is recent or ongoing; if so, what changed? BS new version, Windows updates, GPU driver update, …?
  2. Take the BS logs and assess if there is any relevant information regarding the crash.

What i have tried:

  1. I have a 3 monitor setup, so i unpluged two of them. Didnt work
  2. I disabled hardware accaleration via regedit (via this german article Windows 10/11: Hardware-Beschleunigung aktivieren/deaktivieren).
  3. I deleted the network plugin in the %appdata%\Roaming\BambuStudio\plugins and in the plugins backup directory.

and it still wont work.

Similar issue but mine takes about 45 seconds to open, then the home page is blank. The other tabs in the app work and I can interact with my printer, but I can no longer search for models or do anything on the home page. I tried to update to version 2.2 and I still have this issue. It was working fine yesterday Aug. 12 but is now broken.
