Bambu Studio no longer connects to printer

Here’s my five Cents worth…

If there is a Studio update it DOES help to uninstall and clean up before installing the new version.
Somehow Studio loves to create a mess with a normal update.
If there is a new firmware it is a must to do the full printer calibration as only too often those values found the first time around get lost during the firmware update.

Updated Studio, the printer or both and suddenly there no connection possible ?
Say thank you to Bambu
The BambuStudio.conf file holds the access code for the printer and your filament allocations.
For some reason the access code is now added to the config file towards the end of the file!
During an update the config file is preserved and you can end up with two different codes in it.
If in doubt use Notepad++ to check and correct this.
Quite often the only way to regain a working connection is to go through the cloud mode using Handy.
The 1.0.7 firmware seems to have broken the access code binding through Studio.
You can enter the IP and code in Lan Only mode but the connection and binding keeps failing.
Once printer and Studio are connected through the cloud you can bind the printer using the pin code but in the conf file you will then find the correct ACCESS code - no clue how or why Bambu does this…

If you ask me it is just another addition to the list of controls.
Making sure the printer, handy and Studio are doing the whole cloud thing so that ‘we can authenticate our products and accounts’ to Bambu…

Ok, my system is finally back up and working. I was experiencing the same issues after an update to Studio and handy. The X1c connects to the internet, but studio cannot connect to the printer, and handy just shows the printer is offline. I reinstalled all applications. Took all the steps mentioned above. Nothing. I had a ticket running with Bambu to try to figure it out but they were stumped. I could limp along through LAN mode, with no camera, but that was not the best solution. I tried re installing again, just for giggles. But this time, I manually put in my bambu user (gmail address) and password for handy, instead of selecting the log in with google option. It worked for the first time in 2 weeks. I know I’ve logged in with the google option before, so I was confused. There must be an authentication error causing the cloud sync to fail if you use the google option. I replicated the process, and sure enough if I log in with google, the three sources will not sync. If I log in manually, everything is all good. So strange. It will log in with the google option no problem. I can view my printer that’s bound, and I can see all my data, it will just not sync up to the cloud so that studio/handy/printer can operate together. Anyway, this may just be happening to my account, but I was so frustrated seeing that nobody really had answers to some of their issues, and I thought I would post my experience.
