I had to do this last night as my printer also decided not to connect. I put the printer’s MAC address into the 5G black zone so it will only find the 2.4 connection and it worked straight away.
You must unpair the printer from Bluetooth of your device. It should be named “Bbl printer” or something like that. If you won’t, there will be “Bluetooth error” because you alredy have the machine paired and trying to pair it again without unpairing it.
Confirm this also worked for friends of mine.
There is the skip object fetaure, which is a really good one, but I totally understand you.
@user_1606532682 Try this and let us know, it should work. Also, the printer only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi
Wanted to stop in here and say I fought this issue for a very long time. Tried everything. Ultimately what fixed it was completely disabling my antivirus/firewall (in this case Kaspersky). My printer connected to my phone fine, sometimes to Orca fine, and to Bambu Studio fine until it didn’t. Sometimes it worked after a reinstall, other times it did not. I also noticed I was having other weird oddly specific network connectivity issues (Epic, Discord). Turned out being Kaspersky. Hope this helps someone.
This is happening again on the latest version 01.05.02.00 (20240122) for the P1S series. Am unable to fix it from the router side as it is connected to the university wifi. For now I just turn the system off on and seems to connect for long enough to send a print OR I’ll disconnect/logout on the system and log back in but eventually during printing it does disconnect. Any help is appreciated.
Create separate WiFi for printer, check that the IP is free. Also try turning off firewall. If this doesn’t help, try reverting FW and if this doesnt help you, then create a ticket, it may be faulty antenna.
Hope it helps, wishing you luck!
Hey all,
p1S user here, everything had been working flawlessly with my printer until yesterday, it started failing to connect to the network, intermittent issues connecting to cloud, etc.
i havent made any changes or upgrades, and now i cant even update firmware or really work on the printer because of these connectivity issues. wasn’t expecting this on a $1000 product.
i hope its not a faulty antena, but why would it just come up like this?
an update here, i went into my router settings and the printer is showing one bar of connectivity inspite of it being literally next to the router, could be a faulty antenna.
You probably have a bad signal to noise ratio being that close to the router.
Try moving your antenna on the router around.
Likely getting reflections in the signal.
that worked!!!
I moved my router one level up on the shelf i have it on and now my connection is back and working. wonder how many people this would solve it for.
Glad that worked for ya. It’s a very common issue that no one thinks about.
