I cant post my own topic rn because I have a new account. Really need help on this. when I set the bed temp for the printing profile in studio it goes back to 55 from whatever i set it after the first layer. and if i change ANY setting in the touch screen menu it also goes back to whatever it was after the current layer is done. i almost want to return my x1 and go back to my manual printer at this point because i am wasting alot of pla on bed adhesion failure.
Are you using Bambu filament and its profile or are you using a filament profile that you made? Can you share the .3mf file that you’re using?
Don’t give up that easy, this is a simple problem to solve.
Using the generic pla profile with some minor modifications to max temp and bed temp on the textured pei sheet. its set to 60C both first layer and after but i still have to set it manually on the touch screen or it goes back to 55c. I suspect the Aux fan was cooling its side of the plate so much that it released the print but if I want to turn it off or on to compensate for the hot day temps(Southern California) and prevent the heat creep I cant because it resets to the gcode setting after every layer. I really need my manual overrides to stay put or its a problem, is this a firmware bug? otherwise what’s the point of being able to change the fan setting mid print?
Have you made any modifications in either the “Machine start G-code” or “Layer change G-code”? The former is where the bed temperature is set.
In standard configuration there isn’t another M140 till the end which turns the bed off unless of course you have a different second layer bed temp.
As I suggested previously, post your 3mf file or even the exported gcode file and it will be easy to see what the issue is.
doesn’t matter, just failed another print. I want to cry. got a notif on my phone that it failed to cut the filament, i come in and the head has ripped its cover off somehow and the print along with it. I have no idea why this keeps happening. I think am done with this printer. I don’t get it all. I got an amazing articulated dragon ONCE. Ive cleaned the textured plate with alcohol, i’ve upped the bed temp, I’ve turned off the aux fan. NOTHING changed, why cant I get it to print now?
I would post my 3mf but i cant find the button to attach files to posts.
The forum doesn’t have the ability to attach files. You will have to upload it via other means. Google drive is popular.
Dish soap and hot water and make sure not to touch the build surface with your fingers. Alcohol often will only spread oils around which causes poor adhesion.
I figured out the problem and its worse than i thought. maybe i do have to return my new printer.
