Blob of death P2S

Got a blob of death on my P2S. But is the cooling fan for the hotend, or is it the hotend heating assembly?

It has caught some wires from the back. I could not see them because of the blob.

I pulled the blob from the nozzle, and then I noticed the wire. If it’s the hot end assembly, Bambu doesn’t have them in stock till the middle of April. If you can tell me which one it is from the 3 photos, please.

I say fix the fan and heating assembly (if that doesn’t work the main board) but don’t trust me

Thanks, mate lol. I think I will have to get both, but Bambu doesn’t have them in stock, which is a pain.

I will have to go to eBay or Temu, I think.

Everywhere I look, I cannot get the parts till late April, which is a pain or double the price for a non-genuine part. Which I don’t like buying non-genuine. I might have to leave it till Bambu gets them in stock.

Well that sucks, its on sale right now too

I bought a P2S extruder on Alibaba and it was delivered in about 10 days - even though the Bambu site and everywhere else I looked said the end of March to mid April. They might have what you need

I have never used them; I thought they was for trade or buy in bulk. Thanks for the info, mate.

I have taken it apart, and it’s the hotend heater assembly that has a snapped wire. I thought about soldering, but my hands are not the best for small things. I have arthritis. I was going to go on Facebook on my wife’s account and see if anyone in the 3D print groups who lives near me might help. I live in Warrington, England.

It is the hotend heating assembly. I’ve had this experience before, i got help from bambu’s support ticket. I am almost 100% sure it is the hotend heating assembly, but dont ask in social media, use the bambu lab support ticket in bambu handy, do not trust others. for me, i accidently cut the tiny copper wire next to the black wire.

Got it now, mate. Thanks for the info, though.

I feel for you I’m a new owner of an A1 Mini. All was good the first 2 months. Yesterday I had a job going and came back after a couple of to my own “blob of death”. So far I have determined I have to replace the nozzle hot end and heater assembly. Both were wiped out and wires broken. Waiting on parts. Sad to say this is considered a “consumables” problem. I would suggest a photo eye or other detection would be a good things to have.

Based on my experience yesterday, those fine wires are the thermo-couple which indicates temperature.

I know when I had my P1S and A1, I had spares for them. But with my P2S, I have not got around to sorting spares. I still have spares for my P1S and A1 that I have not sold yet, mate. But I will get some spare. But nozzles – I’ve got loads of them because my H2D has the same nozzles. I only do it as a hobby for family and friends. They just pay the cost for me to do what they want printing.

Thanks for the Info mate.
