Brand New X1C can't connect

I am severely disappointed by the lack of Bambu Labs staff members response on this thread… I haven’t taken my new X1C out of the box yet but I’m worried to now with the mention of warped beds and this wifi issue…

To the guy who said there would be competitors in 6 months time what brands would you recommend??

Remember that people that come to the forum are usually here because they have a problem. They are not the vast majority of people who’s printers just work and work very well.

To calm your fears, the bed issue was sorted out close to 2 years ago and look at the date on this thread. Over a year and a half ago.

Unpack your printer and print some really cool stuff with it!

Hi there. I was having the same issue [HMS 0500-0200-0002-0005 or 0500020000020005] when I connected the printer in our uni building. It had worked at home, so I tried creating a hotspot with my phone and found out it was also working fine. I contacted our computer technician and explained the problem with high detail. He entered the Bambulab wiki and found out that in order to use “cloud mode” there are several non-standard ports that have to be active in the network settings, that obviously weren’t in this case.

You guys have the wiki url on port requirements on the post by @thrawn in 23th APR 2023.

Hope this helps.

My X1C is on version 1.04. I’m able to connect to the wifi via the printer, but not able to connect to Studio or Handy…which means i haven’t been able to update the Bambu in the 1+ years i’ve owned it.

We are about to sell off our X1s. This is crazy. Our whole operation has come to a halt.

Any news? Support isn’t helping. The only answer I get is that if the printer works with the smartphone hotspot, the problem can’t be with the printer…

05/09/2026: I am now having this same issue on my printer out of nowhere….

Last print was on 04/12/2026
-No network changes
-Passes ‘connection test’
-Multiple reboots on all devices (PC, Printer, Router)
-Multiple logins and outs of BS, Handy, and printer

-Followed all provided tricks in this thread. No change.
-Walk away for an hour, come back and flip the printer back on….Now connected…

With this many years of people reporting this, seemingly several solutions to the same problem, the common denominator seems to be only the X1C. I have no idea, but I’m pretty convinced that the wifi chip just fails randomly, based on all the things I’ve read and tried.

Anyway, just felt like posting that in 2026, this is still a problem and there doesn’t seem to be an actual objective solution other than trial, error, and chance…

Had the issue for some months not being able to connect normally via Bambu Studio and despite trying all no suggestion helped. During this time the Internet Connection test failed most of the time on the printer. Then after some months it started to work normally again. An now again some months later it failed again despite the Internet Connection check on the printer giving a pass.
During all this time nothing was changed in the network, not the Wifi Connection, not the Router itself, not the software on the PC.
I think that is simply a sloppy implementation of the functionality. BambuLab not fixing or addressing this for years is really telling.
