Just updated the firmware last night and today I come back to the poop chute full and chucking piles everywhere. Found the chunk of the back toolhead on the build plate. Over 1700 hours of printing and this is new. Did something change with the update?
I dont know if it was an update, but it happened to me not to long ago. Right around 1800hrs.
Mine looks the same. I only print ABS, ASA, and PC. The thin plastic is just gone. I wonder if someone has made a model to print one out?
With this happening to more people as printers age there might be a printable version but for $5 I’d rather just add one too my next order as a spare.
Hi, I’ve had the X1C for a few days and read most of the threads with problems. To be aware when something similar appears.
For this problem, I can think of reinforcing the back wall of the cover with a piece of plastic or carbon? How long is it new? I don’t know how much space there is behind this piece. Will another 1-1.5mm insert fit? Of course I can take the cover apart and find out for myself. But it seems pointless to me if you already had it out there. I apologize for my English.
Thanks for the reply Fanda
Ahoj, mám X1C nÄ›kolik dnĂ a proÄŤĂtám vÄ›tšinu vláken s problĂ©my. Abych mÄ›l povÄ›domĂ aĹľ se nÄ›co podobnĂ©ho objevĂ.
U tohoto problĂ©mu mÄ› napadá, vyztuĹľit zadnĂ stÄ›nu krytu plátkem plastu nebo karbonu ? Dokud je novĂ© ? NevĂm kolik prostoru je za tĂmto dĂlem. Vejde se dalšà 1-1.5mm vloĹľka ? SamozĹ™ejmÄ› mĹŻĹľu kryt rozebrat a zjistit sám. Ale zdá se mi to zbyteÄŤnĂ©, pokud uĹľ jste to mÄ›li venku. Omlouvám se za mou angliÄŤtinu.
DĂky za odpovÄ›d Fanda
Greetings Arachna, welcome to the forum.
I would not worry about this as it might only affect people who print 1000’s of hours at high temperatures.
