BS 2 PETG-HF for H2D set to 220c?!

Looks like Bambu have done a copy paste of PLA but not changed the print temp for Generic PETG-HF. Can’t be right that it’s set to 220c.

My PETG-HF defaults come set at 245c on the H2D, and 220c on a P1S. I just finished a 22hr print at default on the H2D

Print a temperature tower, evaluate the results for appearance and strength, assign the temperature in the filament profile that works best on your printer.

My point is 220c is way too low for high speed PETG

Please note that a temperature tower might not always give you accurate or useful results.

This is because the default print profiles are optimized for a wide range of printing scenarios. When printing small models, the printer may not reach its maximum acceleration or volumetric flow rate.

In these cases, choosing a lower temperature from the temperature tower test can lead to issues like under-extrusion or poor layer adhesion.

For PETG HF, we recommend sticking with the profile’s default temperature of 245°C for best results.

HI there,

Interested if you can answer the following Petg temperature question.
Attached below are the settings for Petg within the BS software.

As you can see nozzle temperature and textured bed are 245 and 70 respectively.

Can you explain why it is printing at 220 on the textured bed at 55 degrees. (PLA settings ?)
Something is not right. In early 1 series of BS never had issue but now I guess something is wrong.
This is printing on X1C which has always been perfect and I print a lot of PetG.
Appreciate you thoughts

You’re both looking at the Bambu variant. Select the Generic and you will likely see it’s set to 220c which is too low for PETG HF.

as @SupportAssistant advises the Petg should be printed at 245 deg. My submission is the filament settings are correct on the filament data selection itself but is printing using different settings.

Clearly there is a Bambu Studio bug when printing in V2

There is definitely a bug in the new Bambu Studio. PETG nozzle and bed temps are incorrect, and cached files are showing PLA when you try to reprint from SD card. I’m rolling back my software until this bs gets fixed.

Looking at this in July, and the Generic PETG-HF profile is still borked, set to 220º.

@SupportAssistant , can you guys fix this, or at least link a bug to this thread so we can track it?

hello i just noticed today i have the same problem PETGHF profile printer running 220 C. Bed temp is correct. Printer A1

you really should never rely on the default filament profiles and instead just look up the temps on the packaging and begin calibrating from there.

this is because even filaments of the same type from the same brand – INCLUDING BAMBU – can often need different settings. if it was a particularly humid day that your one roll of, say, basic blue PLA was made on and the other roll of basic blue PLA was made on a particularly dry day then it absolutely can affect the temperatures and flow rate.

additionally; colour and other adulterants are often just added haphazardly in varying quantities. sometimes you’ll have a stickler that properly measures things and other times you’ll have someone who just fills a cup, goes “good enough” and tosses it in the mix.

use the filament profiles as a template but at the end of the day you should set it to what the manufacturer states and then do a few test prints/calibrations if you’ve got enough to spare. it really isn’t worth just rawdogging the generic profiles unless you don’t actually care too much about the end result.

what are you talking about i had no issues with petg profile like two three days ago. I am printing primary PLA there is no problem, ASA also no problem. But today petg HF profile not working bed is ok but nozzle still 220 for some reason. I had no issues until today :man_shrugging:

does your head make a loud whistling noise when it gets windy.

no i can hear only standard printer sounds. will try something … Waiting for printer finish job after many hours will restart it, also windows i have opened 11x bambu stuio with different settings and jobs maybe there is problem not sure  :+1:

update: after restart everything it repair self. Now with generic petgHF profile printer run temps 240/70. I think sun erruptions happen not sure where was problem
 :point_right: :sun_with_face:

Hi @SupportAssistant , as of Beta 2.2.0.68, this present is still broken, at 220 (and goodness knows what else).

Can you please indicate how to escalate this, or a bug to this thread so we can track it?

Please acknowledge @SupportAssistant

This should not be the case. It was checked on my side and it seems to be the correct value.

I recommend using Help → Check for preset update to ensure you have the latest preset updates installed.

You can also replicate the following values manually.

No, you are checking the WRONG values. This thread is about the GENERIC settings.

Please try again.

@SupportAssistant

Here is the screenshot.
This is clearly broken, because the non-HF temperature is correct, but the HF temperature is 220.
