BS 2 PETG-HF for H2D set to 220c?!

Looks like Bambu have done a copy paste of PLA but not changed the print temp for Generic PETG-HF. Can’t be right that it’s set to 220c.

My PETG-HF defaults come set at 245c on the H2D, and 220c on a P1S. I just finished a 22hr print at default on the H2D

Print a temperature tower, evaluate the results for appearance and strength, assign the temperature in the filament profile that works best on your printer.

My point is 220c is way too low for high speed PETG

Please note that a temperature tower might not always give you accurate or useful results.

This is because the default print profiles are optimized for a wide range of printing scenarios. When printing small models, the printer may not reach its maximum acceleration or volumetric flow rate.

In these cases, choosing a lower temperature from the temperature tower test can lead to issues like under-extrusion or poor layer adhesion.

For PETG HF, we recommend sticking with the profile’s default temperature of 245°C for best results.

HI there,

Interested if you can answer the following Petg temperature question.
Attached below are the settings for Petg within the BS software.

As you can see nozzle temperature and textured bed are 245 and 70 respectively.

Can you explain why it is printing at 220 on the textured bed at 55 degrees. (PLA settings ?)
Something is not right. In early 1 series of BS never had issue but now I guess something is wrong.
This is printing on X1C which has always been perfect and I print a lot of PetG.
Appreciate you thoughts

All screen shots taken from the current print.

You’re both looking at the Bambu variant. Select the Generic and you will likely see it’s set to 220c which is too low for PETG HF.

@GuyH77
as @SupportAssistant advises the Petg should be printed at 245 deg. My submission is the filament settings are correct on the filament data selection itself but is printing using different settings.

Clearly there is a Bambu Studio bug when printing in V2

There is definitely a bug in the new Bambu Studio. PETG nozzle and bed temps are incorrect, and cached files are showing PLA when you try to reprint from SD card. I’m rolling back my software until this bs gets fixed.
