Just checking, as my search is not showing much. I received my H2C this week and so far, I love it.
But are the only build plates available the textured PEI (my least favourite plate on any printer) and the engineering plate (always have adhesion issues with this plate, don’t like using glue on any plate if I can, glue wrecked my X1C one)?
I didn’t know Bambu doesn’t make a smooth build plate for the H2C yet. I went to the store selected accessories, H series, then build plates. I ordered the smooth PEI build plate for H2D /H2S. I didn’t notice that H2C wasn’t listed. It arrived today. I opened it up, peeled off the protective sheets and proceeded to place it inside. That’s when I found out it didn’t fit... I contacted Bambu support and that’s when they told me that they didn’t release one yet…
They should have put a Note saying does not fit the H2C…Seeing if they will let me return it.
The BIQU Cryogrip Glacier for a general purpose build plate and a G10 Garolite (Holman Enterprises) plate for materials printed with a >290° nozzle temperature. The only two plates I use on both of my printers.
No, but you can print a lot more than just PLA/PETG on it. You can use ABS,ASA,PC,PA,TPU etc. Another major advantage is you don’t need to clean it. It’s immune to fingerprints
Essentially, this is an engineering plate, a complete analogue. Although ABS and nylon can be printed on it, it’s important to keep in mind that these materials leave “imprints” on the plate in the form of micro-damage to the surface.
It’s not the same as the engineering plate. For example, it’s incompatible with filaments that print above 300° since they can bond with the surface. Also, unlike the Engineering plate, you do not need an adhesive separation layer for most filaments.
On my H2D and Core One I only use 2 plates now: CryoGrip for most materials and G10 for high temp materials. I own the engineering plate but find it just gets in the way. Especially since an adhesive layer is required and not an option.

Also, will add that I printed PPS-CF on a Glacier at 330°, it bonded with the sheet and the sheet coating didn’t survive me removing the part. Fortunately I can get these sheets same day on Amazon. Contacted BIQU about this and they emailed me back that I should have paid attention to their specs (in a nice manner).
If you have a need to print high temp filaments, the best surface in my opinion is Garolite G10
Since I already spent the money for the smooth plate for the H2D and can’t use it or returning it I’m going to over lay the measurement from my H2C textured plate on to the smooth plate. Then going to use a metal shear to cut the smooth plate to size .
