Just to mention, for 3rd party plates it doesn’t really matter which plate is selected in the slicer, as long as it’s not the “Textured PEI” plate (unless the plate vendor specifically suggests that one). What matters is the temperatures configured for the chosen plate in the filament profile(s) being used. If one of the stock plates already uses recommended temperatures, great, but I personally wouldn’t count on that.
The reason I say “not Textured” is because there are special exceptions in many of the g-code templates for the textured PEI plate specifically (such as adjusting Z offset after calibration to account for the texture).
Also to note is that if a filament profile sets a plate temperature to 0 (zero), and that plate/filament combo is chosen, Studio will warn about that plate not being compatible with the filament. But that plate type can still be used, as long as the temperatures are adjusted.
If the plate code scanning is ever fixed then it may make sense to choose a corresponding plate in the slicer (and re-enable build plate detection on the printer), assuming the plate even has a code.
