Calibration patterns prinjting as non-characters

These used to come out as numbers and lines, but something happened and all my settings reverted and the prints are only showing a few dots where numbers used to be and the registration lines. Not really sure what happened, but, my cleanest line is the second from the bottom, is that .015 and .020? I’d really like to know why it stopped printing the numbers out and why all my settings reverted back.

Thanks in Advance

How did you generate that? That’s not the standard calibration print from Bambu Studio. That’s way more highspeed.

I didn’t know there was calibration in the standard BS slicer, never seen a button for it. This is from the SoftFever fork

In the latest FW update for the P1P (and Studio) there is a “Cali” button in the Device tab, under the filament where the load and unload buttons are. There are notes in the FW update that explain what it is. Apparently Bambu used some of the code from SoftFever fork for their implementation. It’s only a P1P thing because the x1 does it without needing manual intervention. After you run the calibration you input the best line into the calibration wizard. Theoretically you can have custom linear advance for different manufacturer, type, etc. It used to print numbers to the left of the lines, something went FUBAR and now only prints what you see in the picture.

This is what it looks like in Bambu Studio. I’m going to try the fork when I get home and see what that’s al about.

After you run through the calibration print you input the “K” values for each spool.

it’s basically the exact same on SoftFever, just a bit more manual

I have SoftFever downloaded. Will fire it up tonight and give it a spin.

Cali1

The problem is the value in the red circle. Click on the Icon where the green arrow is pointing and type in 0.020. Then you can go with the calibration and it should print the numbers.

Do I need to calibrate the external? I don’t use it since I have the AMS. The numbers printed fine when I ran the calibration test from the SoftFever fork of Bambu Studio. I’m still not getting any numbers to print from Bambu Studio. It’s OK though, I will just get my “K” from SoftFever when I change to a non-PolyTerra filament.

It dont hurt to give the external spool a reasonable number like 0.02 or 0.015, maybe you will get the numbers with BS. You dont need to run the calibration, only click where the green arrow is pointing and put in a value.
