that is exacly my problem too
i think i found out what is going wrong:
RTFM !!
Precautions:
- When replacing the AP board, be sure to skip the step of binding the machine when turning it on for the first time.
- After confirming that the replacement is completed, it is necessary to update the SN. To do this, please contact the service team and provide the new board SN to complete the SN replacement process.
Igot the board in cardboard, but NO manual
they put this link in the support ticket…
they wrote I will get a link but got none
i just send the new serialnumber to support in my ticket, hopefully they reply soon. and we can bind it again.
thanks for the link, but to late …
grrrr
please let me know what they tell you
Did you say you had Handy running? If so have you looked at the log file?
When our manufacturing center switched to module level repair. This was back in the 80’s a small rom was added to every module to allow for identification and therefore the firmware understood the new module. In that way changes could be tracked and the module were truly plug and play.
Good luck, it might be easier to swap parts on your two boards so you can get the old board repaired and installed.
Thanks for the pictures.
LOL what a terrible music
at the part connecting the camera cable I was rolling on the floor laughing
but thank you for makeing the video
as Idea to add to your Video would be, where to find the Serial Number in the display and where the QR Code is located in the frame.
Long Story short,
you send the S/N of the new AP Board (you get it from the Disply Menu) and the picture of the label inside the right upper frame part of your Printer in a support ticket to Bambu Lab.
Bambu put the two Infos together in their database and everything works as it should.
Hi! I had this same thing happen to me. Support needs pictures of your new board to do some work on their end. It will not bind until that happens. I was frustrated for days. Hope this helps!
For any still having an issue I have found on rare occasions that certain devices do not like wifi passwords with asterisks in them. I think it may be due to a table limitation in older hardware. In any case I removed the asterisks from my wifi password and my P1P connected immediately. Worth a shot if nothing else is working.
so im having this problem it almost connects it connects to my wifi i see it on multiple wifi but the device won’t bind to my account. any tips i thought it was a unifi network problem but tried another wifi and my hotspot and no luck my computer can see it as other device but won’t bind it from their either.
I have same issue. I tried the suggestions support provided under my ticket, but nothing worked. Even directly opened ports in router per suggestion and it is still showing No Valid Device, regardless of what I do.
Waiting to see what they come back with. Likely next week since it about to be the weekend.
So unopened my ticket Monday they took two and half days to respond with your need to bind the printer here are things to try all the things they said to do cause ya…but they are reviewing logs. If your firmware is 1.0.0.0.2 or older need to forget the wifi and turn the printer off and back on. Mine almost acted like it might pair but still have the no valid device. Support it reviewing my log files from the sd card. I’m waiting to hear back and will post results when I get some.
I sent a short video last night per their request showing the connection process where the WiFi shows up on the screen with the IP address for the unit, but then shows no device. I have confirmed the unit is on the router since I opened ports, but once the binding fails, it drops off the router and I restart the process. I’m using my fiber home network 2.4ghz, but curious if I may need to buy a standalone router for this unit, my laptop and phone to make this magic happen.
I will do the same once I hear back. Rather frustrating since there is no point for me to install the camera until I can bind. The fact that it does not come with some other methodology to update firmware to force a bind or something to that extent (hardwire, sd, or what have you) is a bit frustrating. Regardless I will be waiting to hopefully have this unit work.
Yeah man, I’m in the same boat. Still haven’t been able to do any binding. I’ve also removed the foam backer on the board as someone said that could be why it’s not connecting, but still nada.
I’ve just gotten by with putting prints onto the SD card. Prints come out relatively fine, but I hate knowing that there’s firmware updates that can make this better and I can’t get it. I agree, wish we could update with some other methodology. Thinking just replacing the board is my next route, but that takes time to go through support for that…
