Exactly the same environment/behavior here (like @barrows.jeff)
Came with the latest Fusion Update. Hope they will fix it soon.

This is indeed the best solution or a workaround that I found. Just close Bambu Studio before printing. This indeed happened after the update.
Looks like they are aware of the issue. From the Fusion forum:
Thanks for reporting this issue. We do have a ticket open to work on this: FUS-171507 and hope to get a fix out as soon as is feasible
I’m having the same problem, and I noticed after looking at your screen that the Output section of the dialog is not there. So I changed the value in my dropdown to Print Utility, where it shows my Bambu Labs, but when I click OK, it launches Bambu Labs slicer with nothing on the plate. Something has clearly changed here.
I was able to make this work based on @barrows.jeff suggestion. But I’m wondering if we will be able to set the print utility to be our default export to mesh choice so we don’t have to pick it from the list every time once the fix this.
I have had the same problem since updating the new Fusion 360 on my mac.
Same… Mac…if you quit bambu lab and then send it, then THAT one job will work. after that if you don’t quit bambu lab then you have to export (stl or 3mf) to a file and drop into bambulab. just like it was 2020!
Same issue. Newer Bambu user. I’m on a Mac running Ventura 13.1 Previously I could “save as mesh” out of Fusion 360 and send a body directly to Bambu Studio. Seems I now have to manually select Preparation Type as “3D Printer Utility.” That’s a mild pain. But the big hassle is I seem to only be able to import one body. Previously I could bring in numerous different bodies out of a Fusion model onto the Bambu build plate. Now additional bodies don’t appear. I have to save off the body as an STL then Import into Bambu. It’s like 4~5 extra steps (save off, import, find the file, click ok, blah blah). Total PITA. Please fix it, Fusion!
Have you tried to export from Fusion into a 3mf format and open this file with Bambù Studio directly?
Hi, I just ran into a similar issue with Bambu Studio opening a new instance for every body I sent over from Fusion 360 via the print utility tool as 3MF (and also not sending anything to BS when already open). I hadn’t printed something in a while and also had upgraded to BS 1.9.7.52. But I was pretty sure I was able to send several bodies to BS from Fusion before (one after the other).
I looked into the settings of BS.
The first checkmark there is labeled “keep only one BS instance”. Checking that solved the problem for me.
BS will ask you if you want to “open as project” or “import geometry only” when you send the second parts. Select the latter if you want to add to your current project.
Not sure if this solves your original problem, but I found it extremely helpful to get my workflow back. So I wanted to share. (I have also shared this in other threads since I was so happy to finally fix my workflow)
Fusion version is
2.0.20476 x86_64
macOS 14.6.1 (23G93) on MacBookPro16,1
This seems to be fixed in the latest Mac version of Fusion (v.2.0.20460) – October 1, 2024
Just curious, but would it not be better to export components rather than bodies? That bodies should be parts within components?
I just updated to Fusion 2.0.20256 for MacOS. It now requires you to create an additive setup in the Manufacturing workspace to 3d print. You must choose from a list of manufacturers, and Bambu is not in the list. So you can’t send to Bambu Slicer.
Can confirm this is now working on Fusion 360 2.0.20494 for Mac.
Yes, I also can confirm that
I came across this issue today, but found that after pressing ‘OK’ to send to print utility (where nothing happens), if I then refresh the fusion build (press the clock icon top right) it sends to the bambuu lab.
Hope this helps
Yeah, this works. WTF? They totally broke the F360 in the latest update.
Still missing the all Bambulab profiles from the Machine Library as of 25/11/2024.
Fusion 2.0.20948 x86_64
Not missing, never existed.
