Everytime I want to send a print job to my P1S with AMS, the job gets stuck at 2.9 MB - 3.4 MB and stops sending. Then it retries and after some tries it says failed to send job.
I did reconnect my account and the printer, restarted my router and all the suggested troubleshooting guides. Still no effect. It can’t be the WiFi since in LAN Only everything works fine. Also the network test says something about the storage - and storage upgrade test failed. What could be the error?

The printer caches data on the SD card. Have you tried reformatting the card ‘inside’ the printer? If there are some bad blocks on your SD card, that could explain the results you’re experiencing. At any rate, formatting the card is an easy troubleshooting step. Also, you may want to try another SD card just for eliminating any possibility of a defective card. Please let us know if you tried that and if it works. Good luck.
I tried reformating the SD-Card and switching it out for another SD-Card. No change in the behaviour. The task still fails, if the file is larger than ~2,3 MB
It seems like you’ve done the logical troubleshooting steps then. One last thing you may want to try in order to simply rule out a corrupt Gcode or 3MF, is to place the SD Card in your computer and send the files directly to that. Then simply plug it into the printer directly, navigate to the menu and verify that it can print.
In case you haven’t used that feature before, it can be a bit tricky to find so here it is:
Select it from the print menu
Slice Plate.
Click on ‘Export All Sliced file’ which will bring up a dialogue box of where to save it and just save it directly to your SD card.
Now the only thing this will prove is that your file isn’t corrupt. Note, don’t be surprised if the printer goes through the leveling process because when you print from the printer’s control panel menu, I do not believe there is an option to disable that.
Here’s the wiki on printing from the SD card just in case.
I already ruled out the GCODE since the same model worked in LAN-Only and also when I start it from my smartphone. The issue seems to be some networking-issue on my PC and Bambu Studio
It seems you’ve narrowed it down to a configuration issue with your system. I had a similar problem two weeks ago with my P1 due to a faulty SD card. After fixing that, I couldn’t reconnect in LAN-only mode. Back in September, upgrading from 1.3 to 1.5 was unstable, so I downgraded to 1.4, which was more stable. Bambu wouldn’t let me revert to 1.3, and now they only support 1.41.
I only mention this because my September experience may offer a possible alternative. Maybe try downgrading the firmware to see if it reinitializes the base controller board settings. While it’s a long shot, it may be worth a try.
When I had my SD card issue two weeks ago, I wasted a lot of time. Fixing the SD card only revealed that my controller board configuration somehow became corrupted. I was unable to connect either LAN-only or even through Handy. After wasted hours, what finally worked for me was reverting to factory defaults and starting the pairing process as if it were a brand-new printer. Bambu doesn’t offer decent diagnostics, so I had to try different pairing sequences to get it working in Cloud mode. After successfully connecting via the cloud, I waited 24 hours of using the printer in Cloud mode to ensure stability before attempting LAN-only mode. It has been stable now for two weeks. No thanks to Bambu BTW, I’m sure I would have waited days for a response if I opened a ticket and would still be exchanging emails with them. I’ve found that their answer for everything is “send us your logs”.
Did you ever get a fix to this? I’ve had this issue come up twice now, both after I’ve experienced Internet outages.
The first time it seemed to fix itself after I sent a print from my phone through the app.
Now nothing I do seems to fix the issue.
I’ve:
-restarted studio, the printer, my router/modem, my PC.
-unpaired the printer from the screen, my PC, my phone
-factory reset the printer
-uninstalled studio including deleting user files
-reinstalled studio (3 different versions)
-checked firewall, whitelist, router configs for hangups
-reformatted the SD card, used a different SD card
-updated firmware for both router and modem
I can get it to print through the app with no issue. I cannot get it to print through studio using cloud. I can however change from “print” to “send” and then see the file on the printer.
I can put the printer into LAN only mode and then print from studio with no issue. I’m frequently out of the house though so I like to be able to check prints from my phone so this doesn’t work long term.
According to the website there is no outage on the cloud service at this time.
The message that I get is that the storage rest is getting a 404 not found message for a url it won’t let me post but is basically upload a file at Bambu dot com
Attempting to visit that url also gives me a 404 not find via browser but I’m not sure it’s actually supposed to work via a browser ?
I’m hoping it will resolve itself like it did the first time. But as it’s now been 18 hours I’m sort of doubting it. Any thoughts to what I might have missed?
