Hi, as stated by Bambu itself, for those who want to mount a lock on the P1P, they would have to mount a fan for the chamber, which is the only modification I am missing.
I have read, from other users, that the P1P lacks a temperature sensor that detects the internal temperature and works in conjunction with the chamber fan, which is present on the X1C, however.
So the questions are:
Does the P1P really lack this sensor?
How, if so, did you remedy this lack?
For those who managed to fit the chamber fan, what modifications did you make (both hardware and software)?
I have an ARC closure for P1P and was thinking of mounting it by cutting one of the Plexiglass panels, also considering the lack of holes in the back compared to the X1C.
The only fan required is for the motherboard, not the chamber, which regulates the temperature when printing high temperature filaments.
The motherboard on the p1p only uses a passive heatsink which is not really enough on its own when enclosed.
And no, the p1p doesn’t have the sensor for the chamber fan. But instead, you can buy a cheap temperature fan controller which uses a sensor to control a PC fan.
I use a fan duct on printables that is modeled after the x1cfan duct. Works great. Got the x1c chamber fan from bambu. Printed this duct and installed.
No no temp sensor, it comes on according to what filament and bed temp that bambu studio sees.
I just turn it off. If I think I don’t need it.
Also can be operated in g-code. This duct also fits the BL x1c carbon filter.
Find the chamber fan usless, it starts up and is at 100% without a care in the world, also noisy. ive installed it due to having the ARC enclosure but turn it off as my chamber temp is only 31c
Just FYI. I found it does adjust speed. I thought it went to 100% and stayed on but I found it at 60% and 40% so it is adjusting depending on filament type and bed temps.
Also it is actually used for voc removal.
Since these aren’t true heated enclosures, (true heated enclosures have separate heaters etc to heat the chamber since alot of engineering filaments need 90-100c chambers).
It added the carbon filter to mine. So it is ventilated now.
I ha e the same fan. That fan is ot actually for chamber regulation. This is why the carbon filter can be installed. It is supposed to be for filtering.
Also i have the ARC enclosure also and it is close to same temperature. Because these are not active heated enclosures. It get heated from the bed hotend etc. And the size of the enclosure co.pared to the bed and hatend etc. It is t goind to increase much at all.
