Cloud outage?

Yeah, I get a “json parse error” when i try to rebind, or a “database access exception” after logging out on the printer, then trying to scan the qr again. Ugh.

I just lost every profile I worked on for months. They are not in my AppData Roaming folder either. What a waste of time. If you have presets configured and your slicer is still open, I suggest you do not close the program. after I closed mine and reopened it, everything was gone.

Binding success just now. Back to printing tons of useless plastic.

Well aware of LAN-only mode; the problem is some of us routinely need to monitor things remotely, and that is difficult to get working going through the cloud. The problem isn’t inherently the cloud - it’s the code that Bambu slicer (and I should mention, OrcaSlicer) are using that has a bug that causes profiles to be deleted in certain types of outages.

FYI, I’ve been able to send jobs locally in cloud mode (and before the slicer lost the printer IPs as well, the “send” option still worked. Problem is just all the lost profiles…unfortunately I don’t have some of the more recent changes I made backed up, so…

BS actually uses the local FTP upload mode for some of the methods of sending jobs to the printer

still having problems here anyone else

I have checked the box to get notifications of system problems but never get them. If would be nice if BBL could just send out a blanket message to users so that we don’t have to spend time troubleshooting our own systems.

Well at least your are semi working! Printer I reckieved on Friday was DOA worked till I got to the calibrate screen, then screen shutoff now when I restart it light on print head flashes on for one second turns off then fan on head continues to work but that’s it. I believe it’s a bad AP board but who knows.
Now I have to wait god knows how long to get a response from cust service.

Not a good first impression for a top tier printer!

I saw your post about the screen going black earlier… probably pointless to ask this, but did you try unplugging the lcd and plugging it back in? Doubt that will make any difference, but it was the only thing i could think of

Well I only unplugged the front ports, I didn’t want to remove the board to acces that plug to have Cust Support turn around and blame me for something!
Maybe I’m being overly cautious.

I just meant the ribbon cable to the lcd to see if reconnecting it would help. For sure dont do anything unless they tell you its okay. they will try to refuse warranty coverage if you do.

Yeah I did try that a few times, but no change I do know the screen was working at first, I basically input my WiFi info it connected then when I got to the calibration screen I went back to instructions to make sure I had done everything rite before proceeding. In that time the screen went off and never came back on.

Lot of people are having the same issue. Must have been some data storage loss at the BL mothership.

Treat your printer like it was new or a second one.

The following has been a fix for several users.

Is anyone still having this issue? I am still unable to print to my printer without a microSD card.

I think one thing people need to realize is that if you configured your printer at one point to print successfully and then it stops working—don’t freak out and do a bunch of random weird stuff like rebinding or whatever. You’re wasting your time. It’s the equivalent of unplugging your device and powering it off for a few min and turning it back on. Lol.

Be patient and check service status.

Understand what your fallback options are (send to printer but don’t print, save to SD and print from SD)

If you’re doing mission critical printing on a kickstarter new company that is going through growing pains you need to reset your expectations. Critical systems require operators to understand their failure modes and to come up with mitigations/workarounds and that’s on us as users. Anything short of that and you’re just frustrating yourself needlessly

First thing i noticed on the bambu handy app after failing to connect to my printer was a link at the bottom of the page. To the status page. Found out the problem and checked every half an hour till it was good again. Bobs your aunty!

I’ve been looking but cant seam to find that status page in the app, is it a website, please tell me Where i can find that bambu cloud status page

Remember that we all bought into a Chinese cloud when we all drank the Bambu Lab KoolAid… Just sayin’

Maybe they went out of business.

Is already going on several days. I had to switch to WLAN only which also makes access to all the modified filament-setting in-accessible, because Bambu stores them default in the cloud.

This is really a serious reliability problem, a cloud service that is unresponsive for days in a row. My other 3D printers function correctly on the internet.
(I am located in Belgium)

Glad (in a way) that it’s not JUST me having issues connecting the printer to the internet. I’ve been fighting this for over a week as well. I had to power the printer off (switch on the back) due to a first stage feeder failure “troubleshooting” provided by the support guy. Once I turned it back in, it’s NOT been able to connect since. I’ve been chasing WTF it could be, but glad I got the email from here just a short time ago (today).

I’ve been locked into using the LAN only option JUST to be able to print something. Zero monitoring since it can’t connect to the internet.

Another HUGE flaw in the printer (at least in my eyes) is being LOCKED into the 2.4GHz frequency for wifi. 2001 called and they want their frequency back. Seriously, 5GHz wifi has been out for over a DECADE now. Wireless chips using it are CHEAP. NOT going that route is just insane to me. Not to mention my previous printer (half the cost) also had a Gb ethernet port on it that could be used. 2.4GHz wifi is SLOW compared with everything else. It’s like a computer only coming with USB 2 when everything else is using USB 3.2.
