We’re excited to announce the launch of our new PLA CMYK lithophane bundle, which allows you to print stunning multi-color lithophanes right from your own Bambu Lab 3D printer and AMS.

When creating a litho, which color palette do you choose? I don’t see one for Bambu Labs.

I assumed it was #4, “Printed Solid-CMYK”

It’s CMYK because you can’t use other colors to make Black (you just get brown), not the other way around. :slight_smile:

Lithophane Maker is excellent

I made a bunch for my family when my dad passed away in February and they were all blown away by them (lots of tears which wasn’t my intentions)

I used my X1C and built 10 Lithophane boxes with the light inside, just a tip though use a very low lumens LED bulb for the best effect

If the light is too bright it takes away from the small details

CMYK Cyan Magenta Yellow Key(White) in this case because that is how lithophanes works. Industry-standard.

I had this in my shopping cart and then got called away for some family stuff and 30 minutes later it was sold out.

I hope that they open up orders again soon.

Is the white in the bundle same as the basic white in the store?

when printing color lithophanes, white will be used 90% of the time, so you you run out of white before the other CYMK color get used.

I believe so. It says in the CMYK description PLA Basic White #FFFFFF which is the same color that is listed in PLA Basic for white. - Confirmed it is the same

Ok, I had to do it. Was already planning on ordering a other AMS.

Since the AMS made shipping for this bundle free (I’m remote), I’m gonna see what it’s all about.

@SirWill can I ask why Bambu Lab didn’t coordinate with the author of that application so that the Bambu filament profiles would be available? The instructions on the wiki are otherwise top-notch, but it simply skips the part of which filament pallete to select and there is no Bambu selection. Had Bambu Lab supplied him with filament in advance to test I’m sure he would have added it. He even owns a X1C.

The instructions and the video both state it’s just the CMYK pallet.
