I always monitor my models and prints when someone puts a comment on them that is like GOOD model … 3 stars or 2 stars I report them… however since the biggining of the month I report them and none of the comments have been taken away,. WHATS GOING ON ? @Tanklet thank you
Have you tried to engage with the users first and get them to rate the profile correctly?
I have the same problem, although i don’t report as much as before just because they pretty much get ignored.
I think they quit… “let’s let it roll an see everything burn”
its not something i want to start doing it would take too much time on every models everytime … imagine having over 100 models and getting to ask 3-4 people every day what happened why did you leave this poor rating could you please modify it … to me doesnt make sense… as well as the comments still stays there most of the time they just dont care
low rating might affect your rewards points.
check your points transactions, under the behavior column it says high quality model when you earned points.
i don’t think ignoring false rating is in your benefit.
same @MakerWorld @Tanklet has let us down on this, i have reported 4-5 low ratings that had nothing to do with my model nor proof that they evenprinted them and they are just ignored. I opened a ticket to report them as well, and got a generic response stating to report it. Their customer support seems to be slipping very quickly now, seems like less and less desire to help their customer base. Perhaps the honeymoon phase is over all the good things are coming to a close and their systems are falling apart.
being able to give rating is a proof they tried, i assume ?
but i agree with you they should not be able to rate unless the printer did a 100% print, not just cancel the print during the initial layer nor mid way.
also there should be a system anything less than 4 stars rating should force a photo upload, as to be a proof of why the low rating.
I still havent heard from makerworld in a month that ive created a ticket to ask… and i still report those comments onmy models and nothig gets taken away Id love to know whats going on ?
Same problem. One or 2 or 3 star ratings without reason or with stupid reasons. Reported multiple times they are no longer removed and damage the print profile. Among other things I am noticing that there are people who enjoy trolling and assigning these ratings and they are almost always new accounts or with very low levels
Please share with me the ratings you reported. I will check them.
I have quite a lot… Basicly every report I make is not taken in consideration… there was one that did worked last night but shouldnt we be able to remove them automatically ? as its our model and we should have the right to choose what kind of comment we want under our models or print profiles… persoally all the 3 stars are mostly just because they had bed adhesion problems or wet filament… I dont really see how this is our problem as its mostly a user problem
No, not really. The profile rating is for users to be able to express how good the profile was, to give feedback, to allow the profile maker to improve the profile… It has good intentions behind it.
Check out Require user to troubleshoot before rating - Maybe BL/MW will take that into consideration.
The profile rating is not something to express your feelings, or to say that the print had bad bed adhesion imo… also the model quality has nothing to do with our slicing… why did i personally print it flawless and others are not able ? I dont think that most ratings are even a real rating on how the print actually came out. I dont see how I could improve the profiles in a better way just because it failed for you … worked great for 100ths of other users tho
Just because you don’t understand something, doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
Easy example: grid infill. You can be “lucky” but on tall models the grid infill can cause the model to be knocked off the plate.
There is a possibility for that: when print profile has deliberately lowered plate temp or disabled brim when the model needed it (and instead the profile creator used glue and it was “good enough”)
another case for my suggestion of having users go through troubleshooting stage.
I didn’t want to be over enthusiastic
LOL
Just because 1 person got it to fail out of 100 people doesnt mean anything to me at all… all prints have been fine so far with my profiles. most of the time like i said its because of user error not the profile that i made. Thanks for your suggestions tho
yeah wow … stuff like that is lame imo
As of Fev 2025, the “Report” function is still a bug. Reported this example below of a 1⭐ rating several times during the past week to test the “report” feature and … nothing, still live. My 3D model does not even have supports!
The user misunderstood the rating function for “technical support issues” . I replied to his comment, no change. Sent him a msg, no change. I have several models where user errors downratings my models and affectig the overall quality rating of the models. This thing needs to be fixed.
@user_xxxxxxxxx ----
Print Profile 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill
**Support Issue:**can’t remove filament using external spool!!!
i agree. it really seems there are no reports being processed at the moment. 2 people are patently advertising their/other uploads basically in the top comment of my new project and they haven’t been removed since a few days. i also got something to add to that case… i think this absolutely needs to go:
the user doesn’t mean to do wrong, it’s just the way the system doesn’t allow for more than 3 stars when something failed first time. and there is no 2nd chance for a rating possible (on a 2nd successfull print e.g.). this 3 star limit has to be dropped IMO. this would save a lot of time going back and forth with the user and also ease the workload on the support as we could sort it our selves in talking to them
