Contest idea: 0.8mm nozzle challenge!

After reading the seemingly obvious question in thread:

And then searching MakerWorld for profiles with 0.8 nozzle producing very few results:

I suggest creating a contest opposite of Amazing Precission - 0.2mm nozzle Design Challenge: “Going BIG - 0.8mm nozzle design challenge!”

Personally, I’ve only ever used 0.8mm nozzle for vase mode prints of planters. Maybe a contest would result in more interesting models for 0.8? And if it’s under-utilized/under-tested maybe a better print profiles with better speeds/quality would be a positive side-effect?

I see little to no point in such a contest other than for providing Bambu with print profiles.
Takes a lot of work to get anything else than a 0.4mm nozzle working as advertised.
Let Bambu fix their end first before asking for contests for these nozzles

It would be interesting if they added a section on model pages in addition to makers supply for things like specific nozzles or bambu filaments. I personally use bambu matte PLA for almost everything and would love to link people to those specific filaments while earning some sort of incentive.

Yeah, that would be cool too! I’ve done something like suggesting good filaments to use for one of my models to achieve certain results (and it’s 0.2mm nozzle):

Could be a good idea, but would have to be for something “good” like say litophane bundle for litophanes, or selected filaments for hueforge items.

0.8mm AND vase/spiral mode are made for each other.

So again it is more about making money for it than other things ? LOL
Not really a surprise and the main reason creator have so many problems with copycats and thieves - they can make money for free while the creator misses out.
Why does everything these days always have to be about money?
