Corcelain Contest

They hope their models will gain popularity by appearing in the contest. They might not now about the -100 points (I don’t know if this actually applies because I have never experienced this, fortunately).

Yeah, this happens…

Hello @Tanklet , can you pleaaaaaaaaseeeeeeee! pretty please have a look at the entries in the corcelain contest? The amount of irrelevant entries is just beyond pathetic and is quite literally pushing away other creators entries that deserve to be in the contest. A staggering 60 completely random uploads of which some carry the name ‘corcelain’ to get away with it.
It is simply disrespectful to the creators that take these contests serious.
I’m probably preaching to the choir but at least I gave it a try…

I totaly agree.

I did several rounds where I reported them but they are still there. Frustrating.

Can you please stop posting great models, with well chosen colours, great descriptions and excellent artwork?

Asking for a friend.

Same. Reported dozens of irrelevant entries and only 2 of them were taken down (don’t know why these two specific ones and not the rest).

Same. First two went through successfully and then the rest of the reports were ignored. Basically just gave up on reporting now.

Exactly!

Does that realy happen?
If yes can we please have it as the first point on the list.
Not all guys mange to read 9 points :man_shrugging:

It does.

There are far too many people entering entirely unrelated models to a contest.

We should all read everything twice and enter once. If someone enters something unrelated to the contest, they do not need to be told there is a penalty, it should not have been entered in the first place.

Measure twice, cut once.

I have reported so many irrelevant entries to various contests.

I think the 100-point deduction should be increased, and maybe there should be further penalties for repeat offenders.

Temporary bans, for example.

Actually, they should just add a 9b to it and ban everyone who does submit unrelated models from entering any contests for the next 30 days…

I would venture to say that most people only read the title.

Seems there is more unrelated models in contest than ones following the rules.

And even then have their glasses on upside down and read porcelain instead of corcelain.

I popped back in here to check out all the articulated leg cups haha.

I hear you for the irrelevant entries - the MH I’ve been flagging over a hundred now… pokemon, bottle caps, kitchen kief grinders… what the hell…

People are literally just adding whatever to gain points, but i don’t think they have enough staff to do it all either.

The contest judging would be a lot simpler if they only had to rate the actual 350 models submitted and not the 500 other useless bottle cap pokemon sigh…

I reached out to about 12 creators and they took their model down themselves. But then MW decided I was naughty and suspended my commenting feature for a week :see_no_evil: but now it is just too much to go through and in vein anyway since I think whoever is in charge got fired by DOGE.

why are you reaching out to users, have you been hired as a moderator? that’s quite an overstep and a weird one at that, why would you be doing that with your time…

i get it that it’s annoying to see irrelevant participations, but there are two options: ignore and move on by not participating in the contest at all, or, report using the appropriate categorisation (there’s one specifically for that)

Depends on the context - if you are policing of sorts I’ll somewhat agree - but if you are trying to find out the problem…

I reached out as well a few days ago. Once. Because the clownshoes annoyed me so much by posting 5000000000000 pokemons pushing real MH stuff way down the list. the report button was being used but nothing being done. So I send a message.

My message was simply "why do you insist on spamming irrelevant entries for a different game into the MH competition? Pokemon isn’t monster hunter? "

No reply. And he posted another charazard in retaliation. :expressionless:

Maybe these are staff internally farming points for a side Hussle?

Which (usually) results in absolutely nothing :woman_shrugging: So basically there’s only one option.

exactly this! unfortunately I think MW might not care to much about the contests and just want as many people coming to their platform by using their incentives.

Funny story, after being fed up with the Corcelain contest for a few days because of all the irrelevant entries that didn’t get removed (diluting the field for legitimate models)… I had a look again and decided to quickly report a few super irrelevant kitchen drawer organizers and the alike. After the fifth one I think it was, I had to confirm that I wasn’t a robot when checking the 3D model.

So figured instead of getting ignored because MW probably thinks I’m spamming them with reports if I have to confirm my non-robotness already… I’ll just have a collection for everyone here that they can use to easily access the irrelevant models for reporting. Just went through and took the obvious ones, so there’s probably a handful missing, but 42 is big enough a number I think.
