I recently documented Bambu’s print speed gcode, and it seems that this sequence is still pretty unknown to most users so I thought I’d share here.
This is a temporary wiki/readme that may be moved at some point, but feel free to save and share. I did this work myself, and I have a couple hundred print hours running custom speeds (speed %s other than the default 4)
BL-speed-adjust.md
I have also written a script for those who want to test this out on their own devices. The script requests your printer info for MQTT, and it saves those credentials locally FYI.
I created this with the #1 goal being to achieve consistent print quality across the entire range I interpolated. This is why I did not attempt to create trendlines beyond 180%, however I hope someone else comes up with a good trendline for 180-510% speeds! 510% is the max value Studio or Handy will display.
Here is the first result of one of the projects I’m working on (gradual speed adjustment to hide artifacts)
