I have ELEGOO Rapid PETG black, and ELEGOO basic PLA black. Both are having bed adhesion problems when near the door end of the plate. P2S with textured PEI plate. Never had a problem with any prints until started to use ELEGOO and from what I see online it is a reputable filament. I washed the plate as suggested with hot soapy water. I printed with Bambu filament and no problems. I did both of the ELEGOO filaments agina and same adhesion problem in the same areas. I have a diffuser printed and installed: Bambu Lab P2S Auxiliary AirFlow Diffuser - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld. Can anyone tell me the settings to put into a new filament profile to get this stuff working? I did a waste chute print with the PLA and it went w/out a hitch…but the build was not near the door. The front right corner seems the worst. So frustrating all I have gone through. THinking of sticking to just Bambu filament b/c I had no problems at all before this.
2 questions!
1 - Have you dried the filament before using? I personally have issues with Elegoo sticking overall on PEI sheet when its not fully dried.
2 - What filament profile are you using?
I ask because I have had good luck with using the Generic PETG and Generic PETG HF profiles for Elegoo basic + HF. I also - before I had to reinstall my workstation - had custom profiles for Elegoo PLA/PETG/PETG-HF that were based off the values from Elegoo’s own slicer (I manually made them in Bambu Studio and haven’t had the time to do so since reinstalling my workstation).
Using rapid PETG from Elegoo and the basic PLA from Elegoo. Both dried, stored in dessicant containers/AMS, and both having the problem.
Try some glue stick, which, while I personally I hate using on PEI sheets, it may end up solving your adhesion issue.
I personally have some painter’s tape sandwiched between the glass door and the frame to help keep a seal on my P1S. This may help your case.. but YMMV.
If you’re in the market for other reputable filament brands, I have had great success with Bambu (obvs), Creality, Eryone, Overture, and SUNLU branded filaments.
Not a setting as such, but I hated the mess glue made and the constant cleaning cycle with PETG adhesion issues, so I purchased a “BIQU CryoGrip Pro Glacier-Original Panda Build Plate” and have never looked back, so much so that I have two no, I remove one and let it cool at its own pace and use the second one for printing in the mean time.
Thanks a lot for the reply, but I am now convinced it is a defective roll of filament and Elegoo seems to agree. The twin spool I got at the same time works perfectly on the setting I tweaked from PETG HF. The original spool continues to foul up.
