It does for everyone that’s the problem bud
Actually, mine isn’t changing anymore. Same new firmware that caused the issue initially, but it just doesn’t require the code to change. The problem may be in how we are setting it up. But now, its working normally for me. I did have the issue initially, but I stopped requesting refreshed codes and it works fine.
I’m not sure, but I think when it started for me I needed a new code for all my devices. I couldn’t just enter the code that was there for some reason. It wouldn’t give me the “Ok” prompt to accept the code unless I asked for a new code, for the Bambu Handy app. The printer would hold the code (whether I turned it off or not) as long as I didn’t request a new one, but the only way I could get the phone app to accept the code was to request a new one. I fixed this by not requesting a new code, and re-installing the phone app. Then it allowed me to enter the IP and access code without refreshing the code. And its worked cleanly since.
I rebooted one of my P1Ps this morning and I then discovered that the access code had changed. I’m not aware of a firmware update that happened in between, but perhaps it changed at some point before and I hadn’t noticed.
Yeah, this seems like such an easy fix to just let us lock the access code in. There is no reason it should reset everytime you restart the printer. I dont know why they refuse to fix it.
Yes please. Make it so the access code doesn’t change unless we make it change. So weird and annoying that you can’t
On my P1S I also had the problem that the access code changed with every reboot, but I fixed it by manually regenerating it once.
I assume there is a bug in the firmware, where the code is not persisted when it is automatically generated, thus with every reboot a new one is generated, but manually generating it once properly persists it.
As far as I understand the access code for the printer is there to prevent mis-use of some sort.
My machine operates in my local network, not through the cloud.
And for some reason I find it annoying that always at the worst possible time Studio claims my access code for my printer is wrong.
I noticed two different scenarios so far:
A) Studio looses the code as, upon checking on the the machine, it is still the same I wrote down.
B) The printer seemingly randomly changes the access code.
Why can’t we set ONE code and keep using it?
Why does the code never stick?
Sometimes it is a few weeks, sometimes I need to enter a new code twice within one week - makes no sense.
Any clues or preferably solutions ?
i do not advice friends to buy a Bambu Lab printer, because the annoying pincode binding. I’m so tired every time i must insert a long pincode to use the printer.
This is security for no reason.
Try my special code.

Yes… please let us disable this Access Code nonsense. It’s literally the worst aspect of my P1P.
This is one of the worst parts of bambulabs software
I can see clearly in the bambustudio.conf file that it is saving the ID and accesscode to try to use between sessions.
I can also clearly see that every day I have to re-input these same numbers into this same software. I did not power cycle the PC nor the A1, and my network did not change. Just about every third print I need to reinput these codes. If this had to do with “security” you wouldn’t be storing this plaintext locally, your software is just literally failing to pick up the notes it left for itself.
Fix your application code please
Just bought the A1 mini and I agree totally with your comment. I would also like the last printer chosen to be the default and only change this should it be necessary. Better still, for the software to recognise that printer should it be the only one installed.
