I’m in the same boat. I redeemed on the 30 dec. and am anxiously awaiting the gift cards to get an A1 mini …
Happy new year Makerworld and all Users my gift card is now ready
now buy a A1 or A1 Mini with AMS
Buying an AMS lite after purchase is disproportionately more expensive. It is an important part of the overall solution.
The build area is larger on the A1.
I hope you enjoy whichever you choose.
You may just manage it. Be aware the last day of the sale is 8am UTC not the whole day. I think that will be 9am where you are.
Fingers crossed.
Whichevr you choose, get WITH AMS. Even if you print single colour, automagic filament change in overnight print is worth it
Saw this post after I myself got the “under review” treatment. With that said, I feel I need to respond to help address some of the inaccurate assumptions on this thread.
Context: I was redeeming gift cards today, and didn’t see any review message until the 6th time redeeming. Like all other legit creators in MW, I got my points from my popular models, all legit ways following all MW posting guidelines, standards, etc., and didn’t expect to get the “under review” treatment.
I’m thinking that my redeeming a GC for the 6th time in a row might have triggered the “review algorithm”. I’m really not intending to get new printers to take advantage of the sale (I believe sale has ended now) but rather just doing my usual gift card redemption rounds. Nonetheless, I feel inconvenienced and offended.
While I feel everyone on this thread that this additional review is unfair for legit creators, it looks to me that it’s not playing favorites. I have some popular models with some associated Maker Supply hardware that I have generated sales for MW and by now I would think I’m a valuable contributor to MW with a shiny VIP badge attached to my profile right? But no, I still get the under review hammer.
I agree that there should be some trustworthiness rating added to everyone’s profile to make the review more accurate and the current process as it stands today appears to impact everyone redeeming gift cards regardless of their standing. I only assume that the MW team has a lot of priorities on their hands right now that a more automated trustworthiness rating has taken a backseat and they’re doing manual review as a temporary workaround.
@MakerWorld There are great suggestions on this thread. Please add them to your feature backlog and worked as early as possible. While it might not appear as something of high value to you, it’s apparent that these suggestions are definitely of high value for your MW creators.
Why do you have two user accounts on the forum?
You are posting under both @chiz_m and @anon27892864.
I created the other account and realized I cannot change the nickname so I created another account that matches my MW handle. What I noticed though just now, is that the other account is the one associated/tied to my MW account so it becomes the default when I’m logged in to my MW account.
I’m actually in the process of deleting the other account and just reviewing the posts I made using that account if there’s anything I should retain for reference.
Cool.
Makes sense.
We have had some bad actors playing with multiple accounts and boosting their trolling activities.
I’m just checking, I doubted you would be naughty as I have seen your posts before and nothing jumped out.
I agree and thanks for the trust. That’s why I’m rectifying my forum account situation so this doesn’t happen again.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it appears there’s no way to delete one’s forum account. There’s no “Delete Account” option under the Preferences page as the Discourse software mention. Probably disabled by MW and one has to send a request instead.

Thanks! Messaged @JonRaymond and waiting for response.
Edit: Thanks @JonRaymond for the quick turnaround!
I still get my gift cards reviewed, sometimes 1-4 giftcards go through immediately without review, but the majority of my giftcard redemptions still go through the review process
Thanks for confirming, @Kit_Crafters. Just goes to show that indeed everyone else is still subject to the same review process.
A data point for a low level no name creator.
Since this new review started taking place my redemptions were never held up (only 3) However when I went to redeem for a card on the first of the month I got the message. Overnight they finally approved me. So 4ish days.
They also kicked one of my models that I had in the exclusive program. It was sorta simple and on the fence I’d say of being in line with the rules but as open as they are I just let be. They only pulled back the exclusive points it had earned (20-ish) and not everything it has earned since being published.
This sucks. I was trying to place an order for a printer gift for family to order while on sale and send to them today., I am only trying to get two gift cards. Guess I will not be buying the printer now. Yes, the $40 does make a difference since I am still paying cash for a good chunk of the price. The gift cards I was supposedly able to use were what gave me the nudge.
The good news is, there is no sale on right now.
The bad news is you missed two recently.
If you looked at the printers page, it shows what appears to be discounted prices, they are not, they are the new prices, the old prices shown aren’t exactly true either. They keep quoted the MSRP (MRRP) essentially p, they are stated the price they once sold at. Given they are the manufacturer p, any quoted price is made up.
If you are going for an A1 mini, you haven’t lost much by ordering after the sakes ended, if you are ordering any of the others, the new prices are close to the most recent sale prices.
The annoying and capricious delay will not cause you to lose any money, wait until pointless delay has expired, your cards will then be ready to make the purchase.
As annoying as this is, gifting one of these beauties is worth it, I have been donating them to schools.
This whole process is rather frustrating for those of us that count very point till we can earn a gift card. Finally got enough for my 3rd card and first I had to wait a day because they were “sold out” and then once they were available I get hit with the review. My first ever gift card also went through the review process, which is maybe understandable but after the second one went through I thought maybe they trusted me, I guess not
Just putting it out there, every creator, no matter how big, has gift cards go through the review process. Sometimes I can redeem a couple gift cards without a review process, but a majority of the time gift cards go through the review process for me regardless of how many times the gift card has been approved previously
I’ve been doing all the little things for 4 months. Finally got enough points for a gift card and now this.
If this is how the system works I’m not encouraged to publish models here and help the platform…
