Extremely Loud XY Mech Sweep at beginning of print

Not sure if this is a specific issue with the unit I received, but the XY mech sweep that occurs before each print is so loud around the midpoint of the sweep that I though the printer was defective.

  1. Is this XY mech sweep necessary before each print?
  2. If it is, is anyone else dealing with it being unbearably loud?

This is the vibration compensation Calibration and normal
In the middle of the sweep it‘s the loudest.
I don’t know if it’s necessary every time, maybe it depends on how stable the printer is and how linear the results are to previous calibrations

Not sure if it’s necessary but it’s LOUD and, at least the first time, SCARY! :rofl: I wasn’t sure quite what was happening. Now it’s just an annoyance.

Agreed. WAY too loud. I thought it was about to blow a few times :rofl: ha
