Ok i had a problem with extruder jamming up. I took it apart and the spring shot out. I found the spring and rebuilt it, no extrusion . After 2 days I discover there should be a metal cap also . I’ve ordered a new extruder kit but was wondering if anyone has the dimensions of the cap so i can print one until the kit arrives, thanks Dean
That’s a really stiff spring, and the screw that compresses it is pretty small - you’re not gonna print something that won’t just immediately fail.
Find the right cap, or rig up an equivalent with washers.
I’m thinking a ASA part with a washer on top , until i get the kit, do you know the dimensions
I printed one in ASA, and it’s printing fine. I swept the floor and found the metal cap, JEEZ its small. Why dont bambu offer schematics drawings of each part , if i had known there was a spring in there i would have done things differently
This is the ASA one, im going to keep using until it fails
Thanks but how would i have found that while looking for P2S parts
Oh sh… no you could not because I did not notice it was a P2S, I just read P series in the category… Now I don’t know if the cap is the same P1/P2, I think it is but can’t be 100% sure… sorry
Thanks for that , but this one is even smaller, diameter is 5.6mm, and spring only 7mm long
OK spring is shorter but cap is also 5.6mm in diameter
