I was having problems with a PLA + filament that clogged or failed to print. I cleared the clog and switched to regular PLA. Printed the Dark Saber blades successfully but ever since then I am having trouble with flow rate. The longer the print the slower the flow becomes. Here are a couple examples.
Then I saw this YouTube video/review and although I am still unconvinced, it is now after a 46% discount cheap enough to give it a try. I would never have tried it at the original $24.
Why am I unconvinced? The reviewer here demonstrated that there was black filament that came through during the clean. Well, if it’s black there could be other explanations including contaminants and in such a case, would any other kind of abrasive filament have achieved the same result? I might have been more convinced if lets say some other color filament residue was present on the filament cleaner. And although I said it was cheap enough to try out, even at 46% off, it still comes down to $3.69 an ounce. What’s more, I don’t see you getting something for nothing. Does this “cleaner” work via abrasion? If so, is it damaging the nozzle while it’s cleaning. Too many unanswered questions.
Thanks for the info. I agree, the per ounce cost is too high and for my purpose just using regular filament worked. Good info should I need something more in the future.
