I have the same issue. Usually if I were to reach in and jiggle the bowden tube while the filament was feeding forward it would successfully enter the toolhead, If I didn’t the machine would try 3 times and then quit as you described. Then I installed an extruder bracket (Bambu X1 / P1S / P1P PTFE Extruder Bracket AMS Error Fix by OurAngryBadger - MakerWorld) and that fixed the issue for about a week, then it started up again. Finally I attached a rubber band (a wimpy one) from the cable chain to the Rt Rear of the glass top. That fixed it. I don’t have a more permanent solution.
You could remove the PTFE tube and make sure the end is cut square. Then reinsert fully.
I did that when i got my printer and AMS. It fixed two feeding problems and still on the original PTFE tubes. 2500hrs and i dont use mods of any kind.
They make cutters just for these Ptfe tubes.
Hi, I’m totally desperate! I have a p1s combo and this fault called me too… I tried everything, I downgraded, I tried to replace the ptfe tube, I took apart and reassembled the extruded one, I tried to hold the tube straight up… I tried everything! Nothing helps… it just doesn’t work. Filament fails to insert…goes backwards and forwards 3 times then shows as fault. It’s been a week that I can’t print anything… Can anyone help me???
Does printing from the rear spool work?
So, I got me an A1 Mini a couple of weeks ago and just got the AMS Lite yesterday. It started giving me the same error. Not realizing exactly how the AMS Lite worked, I fed the filament in until it took it and started pulling it in. Then I pushed the filament in the rest of the way to the extruder. I did that for all 4 spools. After extensive troubleshooting, the thing that worked for me was pulling back the filament to where it’s out of the extruder and just the let the AMS Lite push the filament in on its own. This solved my problem.
