Sure.
Not doing that with a $1500 printer that hadn’t scanned since pickup a week earlier.
Filament, parts a t-shirt are fine.
It was “found” last night at 9pm. Suddenly it’s lost it’s label and again. So it won’t be delivered today either as it’s still in MD, I think.
I’m at 26 days now since FE ‘dropped’ the destroyed brand new H2D off. Bambu has now issued a label and wants me to load it up and take it to FedEx 30 min away. This is long since gone to ridiculous. Bambu has refused to call FedEx and schedule a pickup either. They say it’s up to me to do that and I don’t have anymore time to waste on this nonsense.
They have also said that they will NOT compensate me in any way for the 30+ hours I have in this boondoggle.
I once had a shipment worth €8,000 go missing twice at the parcel centre, and then it disappeared completely. It had nothing to do with Bambu Lab, it was robot parts that someone apparently decided they needed more than I did. They tried to limit their liability by cutting the declared value by 30%, claiming this was standard practice when a parcel is stolen, but after one round in court they were ordered to pay the full amount plus compensation for my time at my standard hourly rate
I’m so sorry man
I’m in the exact same boat and FedEx totally sucks nuts! I captured a video of them loading my return back on the truck and the guy dropped it first and then literally tossed it onto the truck bed and landed on it’s side. Bambu needs to stop using FedEx altogether.
You can schedule a pickup online and it is pretty fast too. But I feel you, it is a waste of time.
However, I did learn some things about FedEx pickup too. So when the FedEx guy came to get mine, he just slowed down and kept driving. I ran downstairs to meet him and he was gone (caught it all on camera). So I called support and told them basically “wtf I was home waiting”. The driver claimed “package wasn’t ready” but his supervisor told me that FedEx has to come to the door, they can’t just check a pickup is there or not outside and drive off. I had it right inside the garage because it was snowy and wet outside. The supervisor said that is was a “training issue”.
This was a lazy b4stard issue and a system incapable of detecting scum drivers.
Exactly. When the driver came, he said “oh, you cleaned your driveway, I couldn’t get up it because it was bad”. Which he didn’t even try so totally wasn’t true and not the reason he gave on the ticket either. Considering when he came back, watching him drive up it and not a single wheel slip. But there was maybe 1 millimeter of snow, in some spots. The funny part is, if he actually put that reason in the ticket then that could have worked better in his favor. USPS does that all the time with me if they see 1 snowflake on the driveway and it is impossible to argue.
Driver safety is a priority! Except when you have a box that requires two people to properly carry… then it’s “the driver is fine, they can carry that huge box all by themselves!” (Or roll it, or drag it…)
Lol. I have had this happen too.
For sure everything is slowly getting worse. No one cares and things are often sold broken and unfinished. If you can work through the decline and keep things running you will never go hungry is how i look at it.
My P2S disappeared after its initial scan in across the country from me, had that stupid “label was unreadable” and didnt update for like 5 days so I called them and they were able to tell me where it was and wouldnt you know it a few minutes later the tracking updated. Its almost like FedEx wants you to call them to update the tracking, otherwise they cant be bothered and “It’ll get there when it gets there” seems to be the moto…assuming it does even get there.
Sounds like you accidently got a hold of a person who knew their job and actually cared about customer support and after locating it for you updated the tracking themselves or passed the info on to the proper area so they could update it (manually). I could be totaly wrong. I would think that the tracking would be as automatic as possible and updates would happen when a barcode was scanned as the package went down a belt. Never worked for FedEx or UPS so don’t know.
FedEx drivers with my $3000 new Bambu lab H2C be like:
This is the story I am living with now. I ordered an H2C with a 40 laser and a bunch of extras. Just under $4000. I am in Md close to the PA line. The order is 4 different deliveries. 3 of them have shown up through the week. One of the orders came today, all the way from California. 3000 miles away on the other side of the country! Delivered by UPS. Tracking and notifications all the way.
So I have everything but the printer. It was coming from New Jersey. Only127 miles away. Straight down 95. Well….it is still not here. Was supposed to be delivered Wednesday, then Thursday, then today Friday. Nothing. The tracking is a complete joke.
It left East Brunswick NJ on Tuesday. Arrived in Fairless Hills PA @3 am.
Left Fairless Hills PA @5:30 am.
Arrived BACK in East Brunswick New Jersey!
Thursday arrived at North Hampton PA @11:44 am. Departed @9:42. Dead air since.
This is 2 hours from me and should have been heading to the hub in Delaware where things are usually put on the delivery truck to my house. It is now 24 hours later on Friday since last tracking change. 2 hour journey. The tracking has not changed and after calling FedEX once a day they kept saying it was to be delivered on that day, then the next day and then the next day again. But now they tell me they don’t know where it is. I have been contacting Bambu. I get the apologies but now I am in limbo wondering if it will come. When it might come and is it in one piece. Did I say it is FedEx? Of course it is. It always is for me. I cant stand when companies cheap out and use them. I would be happy to pay the difference for UPS. I never have any problem with them.
So now I wait and see if it materializes. Maybe it will show its face tomorrow but I am not holding my breathe. If not I will have to wait until next week and see when Bambu will get back to me and how fast they handle this.
I have been staying home from my business to receive this. Not a problem with UPS. They let you know they are coming the day before and twice the day of. FedEx claims a delivery date but doesn’t show up. 3 days off for me now. For nothing. There is no way I am just letting them drop it off without me here. One of the other deliveries that did show up from the same place the printer was coming from has a picture showing its delivery. A picture of my grass. No package. That is FedEx.
This is my first printer. Not a pleasant start. Would be nice to at least know where it is. Don’t ever expect ANY help from FedEx. Either way I shouldn’t have to be contacting them. Bambu hired them. Lets see how this gets handled.
I will NEVER buy anything again of value if the only delivery option is FedEx.
Regarding inspecting packages, I have refused shipments before where the box was visibly badly damaged.
Specfically in the UK, if a courier broke or lost a shipment, the usual procedure would be for the seller to send out another, and then reclaim the money somehow, either from the courier, or business insurance. However courier refunds can be limited by terms and conditions, and the seller could end up having to write off the loss.
