I’m assuming I have a clog in the first feeder on an AMS 2 Pro because I can push the filament in only about 1.5 inches. It’s hard to believe that I have to take the AMS apart to investigate further. Any tips?

Mine is at the initial feeder in slot 1 but I have experienced this problem. Pushing down on the button takes care of it but it is still frustrating.
A clog would be different. Unless it’s a broken piece of filament. The feeders are designed to be pushed (I can’t remember which direction atm) so the filament feeds past the initial internal rollers. Usually this stops if one of the two gears in the feeder become jammed or stuck in place. There is one on a little arm to the left and right, but both are in different positions.
I would say that if both look like they’re fine, then it would be broken filament. In the AMS 2 you can remove the feeders PTFE tubes without dismantling the AMS.
As for the feeders, if you can’t get a good view you will have to remove the body and take a look at them closely.
