I have 2 ams’s and both have issues in the 3rd slot with the filament getting stuck after the feeder tube and i have to push the filament through when trying to put a new spool in it for the system to read the tag. Anyone know what is causing the filament to get stuck after the feeder tube? I have taken both apart and replaced the feeder tube assembly and still having the issue.
Same with my a1, when the filament goes to poop, the ams tries to push the filament into the spring thingy, and it just ends up retracting a little. Every time it does this, i just take out the ptfe and then push the filament out, and then stick the filament into the ams slot while pushing the lever on the left of the head. Any idea how to fix, im getting pissed that i have to do it every 5 mins.
Welcome to my world.
I have been through that poorly thought out junction more than once. I have torn it down, designed new feed units you name it. I have tried it finally it occurred to me i hace 2 a series printers. Moved to the second unit, prints perfectly. I am still stunned by the round connector going ro the square channel, lil filing action smoothed that out. But nope. Not a grand design.
I have chatted with a few ppl that had their version of rhe issue. Currently i am waiting on an entire print head to be shipped it won’t do anything i think, but I will have a 2nd spare
So far support has been very nuce, but have absolutely no idea how to fix it
Still don’t regret thw purchase
